Annnnnd that’s a wrap on a recent 6-week programme at Manningtree High School 💙✨
This programme was created for two groups of students selected by the school, focusing on nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, self-regulation and self-worth.
Over the 6 weeks, we built trust, explored simple breathing techniques the students could use in everyday life, and introduced a combination of activating and down-regulating 9D Breathwork journeys to support balance within the nervous system.
We also incorporated movement and grounding practices throughout, which the students really enjoyed 🤍
But the most powerful part for me was the feedback.
Students would often arrive feeling “angry”, “sad”, “stressed” or “frustrated” and leave feeling calmer, happier and more focused.
What was even more special was hearing how they began using the tools independently outside of the sessions:
✨ One student used a breathing technique during an exam when they felt overwhelmed
✨ Another used breathwork whilst visiting a new city and experiencing anxiety
✨ Another used the techniques to help them fall asleep
✨ Another used an activating technique to feel more energised in the morning
That’s the beauty of breathwork, it’s our body’s first language 💫
Giving young people accessible tools they can carry with them far beyond the classroom.
