LET’S TALK PROTEIN 🤍 because when looking at nutrition this is one macro clients initially don’t seem to be getting enough of.

Protein isn't just for bodybuilders, gym girls or people trying to “get gains”.

It’s an important part of women’s nutrition at every stage of life.

Protein helps support:

🥚 Muscle maintenance & growth
💪🏼 Strength and recovery
🦴 Bone health
🧠 Normal body functions
🍽️ Fullness and satisfaction after meals
⚡ Your overall energy and wellbeing

And you don't need to live on chicken and protein shakes to get enough.

Think food first, eggs, Greek yoghurt, milk, fish, meat, tofu, beans, lentils, nuts and seeds can all contribute to your daily intake.

One of my favourite things to encourage is simply adding a source of protein to each meal rather than obsessing over hitting a perfect number.

Breakfast? Add Greek yoghurt or eggs.
Lunch? Add chicken, tuna, tofu or beans.
Dinner? Build your meal around a protein source.
Snack? Try yoghurt, cheese, eggs or a protein-rich option you actually enjoy.

Nutrition doesn't need to be complicated.

Protein is important. But so are carbohydrates, fats, fibre, vitamins, minerals and, importantly, enjoying your food.

It's about creating a balanced diet that supports YOU, not chasing perfection. 🤍

Breathwork in my practice 🫁

I'll always encourage some form of check-in and grounding before a practice. I've spoken about this before, and it's something I could talk about daily!

Whether you're a coaching client or a therapy client, the benefits of breathwork are huge!

In practising breathwork, you're signalling to your body it's safe to relax.

You don't even have to do it just because you're having a treatment; it's a free tool you carry every day.

So whether you're coaching with me or seeking a treatment from me, don't be shocked if I ask you to become more aware of your breathing and even get you practicing this too!

MONDAY CHECK-INS 🤍

After years of having check-ins myself, learning from other coaches and working within the industry, there’s something I’ve realised…

A lot of coaching isn’t actually individualised.

There are frameworks, weekly targets and “action points” that get applied to everyone, regardless of what is actually happening in their life.

And honestly? That doesn’t sit right with me.

Because my clients all have different goals, different lives, different challenges, different capacities and different things going on behind the scenes.

So why would they all receive the same coaching every Monday?

This week, some clients have been given tools around emotional eating.

Some have increased their daily steps.

Some have been given reflective tools to explore their emotions.

And some? I’ve actually said let’s pause.

Even though they are paying me for progress, sometimes the most appropriate thing to do is take the pressure OFF.

Strip it back to the basics.

Care for the person in front of me.

And find the path forward when they have the capacity to take it.

Because I’m not here to pile more onto someone who is already in the pits of stress and emotion just so I can create a shiny progress picture, an impressive transformation story or another glowing testimonial to add to my portfolio.

I’m genuinely here for YOU.

This is what being a truly holistic coach means to me.

It means looking at the whole person, not just their weight, steps, calories or gym sessions.

It means realistic expectations that can actually be carried into real life.

It means community. Support. Compassion. Accountability.

And coaching that changes when you change.

Whether you're working with me around weight loss, perimenopause, movement, nutrition or your wider wellbeing, your coaching will never be a copy-and-paste programme.

No check-in is the same.

No week is the same.

No client is the same.

And honestly…

kinda chic.
kinda couture. ✨

Because individualised coaching should actually be… individual. 🤍

Are you a d**k to yourself? 🍆

Chances are, when you check in with yourself, you'll talk very harshly to yourself. The words you repeat and the words you put out there, you eventually believe, and before you know it, your self-esteem is at rock bottom!

I'm here to explain why, as a holistic health coach, I have your back with this important transformational topic.

Have a listen at the link in the bio 🎧

Who am I? 🌿

Hi, I'm Charlotte (Charl to most people), 38, cat lover, and self-confessed "all things holistic" girl.

NHS Nurse and qualified advanced clinical practitioner by background. By calling, I'm a nutritional advisor, holistic therapist and carer, but let me be really clear about what that isn't. This isn't personal training. This isn't a prescriptive diet plan. I'm not here to hand you a programme that worked for me and expect it to work for you, or set you goals that were never realistic to begin with.

What I actually do is help women discover what works for them — through guidance and education, not rules. Understanding your body and mind as a whole, physically and emotionally, so you can make choices that actually fit your life instead of fighting against it.

I'm neurodiverse myself, I own too many crystals, and I have a journal for every reason to have a journal (no, I will not be explaining further 😅). When I'm not with clients, you'll find me at the gym, hiking, surfing or paddleboarding, not because I'm chasing a plan, but because I've learned what movement feels good for me.

No shame. No guilt. No unrealistic expectations. No two clients ever get the same goals, because no two women are the same. Just space to learn about yourself, and support while you figure out what you actually need.

If this sounds like what you need, drop me a message or a follow 🤍

The Supplement series: Magnesium!

The market of magnesium supplements is huge!

You can absoloutely increase your intake with nuts, seeds and even dark chocolate, but there's a lot of noise about needing supplements.

Here's what they are and what they can do, plus which ones to try if you don't want 💩

Mondays are dedicated to the ladies' check-ins and feedback!

There are wins, and there are struggles, and that is OK, and very much reflective of real life!

This week we:
✨Just need my support and to not give up, when it's been easy to give up previously
✨Are making more conscious choices around nutrition
✨ Loving the community of supportive women
✨Moving our bodies and improving on this week by week
✨Families noticing the difference in such a short space of time

Never in these wins have weight/personal bests been mentioned, and that's because we focus on the whole person and not just several elements to help you achieve your goals. There is compassion in the hard times, stripping things back to take the pressure off and pushing when life allows within the daily pressures of our lives!

What a start to the week!

Interested? Drop me a message to see how we can help you achieve your goals!

Nutrition isn’t about being perfect. And honestly, I don’t believe nutrition ever can be perfect. 🤍

The last few weeks have been tough for me.

There have been birthdays, days out, busy days, emotional days and days where my time and capacity to prioritise nutrition just hasn’t been there.

And that’s life.

There’s been ice cream. Cake. Takeaways. Salads. Fruit. Protein. Convenience foods. Meals thrown together quickly. A huge variety of foods, and none of them make me a failure or mean I’ve “fallen off.”

Because I don’t believe in being on or off track.

What I do believe in is having the knowledge to understand nutrition, but also understanding the motivational and emotional factors that influence how we eat.

For me, these last few weeks have been an opportunity to actually practise that inward work.

Instead of asking myself “Why can’t I stick to my plan?” I’ve been asking:

Why has things felt a little off?
What has been taking up my capacity?
How has this been making me feel?
And what do I actually need right now?

And the answer isn’t restriction.
It isn’t starting again Monday.
It isn’t “making up” for anything.

Right now, I need easy, quick, nourishing food that supports me when life is busy… alongside food that is simply there for the soul.🥰

Because health isn’t just about what we eat when everything is going well.

It’s also about how we look after ourselves when life gets messy.

And honestly, I think this is one of the biggest things I can offer my clients.

Not just what to eat.

But the support to understand why things sometimes change, what might be getting in the way, and how to find your way back to balance without shame, guilt or starting all over again.

If you struggle to find balance, or when you lose your balance, struggle to believe you can find it again, you’re absolutely not alone.

Sometimes the way back isn’t a complete overhaul.

Sometimes it’s just the next nourishing meal. 🤍

ALCOHOL, SOBRIETY & THE CONVERSATIONS WE DON’T ALWAYS HAVE 🥂

After sharing my 3 years sober post, I honestly didn’t expect the response I received.

The messages came from people who are sober, sober curious, questioning their relationship with alcohol, or simply living in a world where drinking is such a prominent part of socialising, celebrating, relaxing and even coping.

And it reminded me why I talk about this.

I’m sharing this across both of my pages because, believe it or not, alcohol absolutely has a place in conversations around coaching, wellbeing and reflexology.

Not because I’m here to tell you that you should stop drinking.

Not because I believe everyone has a problem.

And certainly not because sobriety is the only way to live.

For some people, alcohol genuinely is something they can take or leave.

For others, the relationship is much more deeply rooted.

It can become connected to stress, anxiety, confidence, socialising, loneliness, celebration, reward, routine or simply feeling like you need it to switch off.

And sometimes you don't even realise how much space alcohol occupies in your life until you start questioning it.

My own relationship with alcohol became something I could no longer ignore. Choosing sobriety changed my life, but gave me a much deeper understanding of the conversations that can sit underneath drinking.

That’s why I want my coaching spaces, my reflexology room and my platforms to feel safe and judgement-free.

You can talk to me about drinking.

You can be sober.

You can be sober curious.

You can be questioning whether alcohol is serving you anymore.

Or you can simply be curious about your relationship with it.

You don't have to have a label to start the conversation. 🤍

This episode is about my journey, what sobriety has taught me and why I believe we need more honest conversations around alcohol, without shame, judgement or the pressure to fit into one particular lifestyle.

🍽️ What have we been eating this week?

One of my favourite parts of coaching is seeing the meals my clients and I are sharing with each other. Not because they’re perfect, but because they’re real life.

We share ideas around our individual goals: learning more about nutrition, supporting weight loss, understanding what our bodies need and, most importantly, taking away the guilt and shame around food.

A busy day? That’s life.
A quick meal? That’s okay.
Something ultra-processed? You don’t need the ultra-processed police knocking at your door. 🚨😂

We talk openly about the struggles of maintaining what we might call “optimum nutrition” when life is busy, energy is low and sometimes you just need something easy.

And honestly? The group has been buzzing. 🥹

As a holistic coach, I’m here to educate, guide, challenge and support you, but some of the best inspiration comes from you.

From a client sharing a meal that another client hadn’t thought of.

From someone finding a way to make nutrition work around their busy life.

From realising that nourishing yourself doesn’t have to mean following a perfect diet.

This is what coaching is about.

Learning. Sharing. Experimenting. Supporting each other. And finding a way of eating that actually fits into your life. 🤍

No food guilt. No shame. No perfection required.
Just real women, real food and real life. ✨
