Thrill drill Thursday Hippy Dippy...
..that tightness you feel after a long day sitting?

That deep ache in your hips when you go for a run? That's your outer glutes crying out for attention — and they deserve it.

Your gluteus medius and minimus — the muscles wrapping around the sides of your hips — are the unsung heroes of every step you take. But modern life compresses them constantly. Tight hips aren't just uncomfortable; they're a root cause of lower back pain, knee issues, and reduced performance.

This two-part drill works smarter, not harder.

The low lunge warms and mobilises your hip joint dynamically. Then pigeon pose sinks into a deep, therapeutic stretch of the piriformis and the entire outer glute complex.

Thrill Drill Thursday
Your shoulders are carrying more than you think.

Hours at a desk. Scrolling. Driving. Holding tension you forgot was there.

Shoulder mobility isn’t about forcing flexibility.
It’s about creating space.

When the shoulders soften and strengthen together, the entire practice changes. Your Downward Dog feels lighter. Your twists breathe easier. Your heart lifts naturally in backbends.

Today, try this simple yoga drill. Notice what happens when you stop pushing and start listening.

Mobility begins the moment awareness enters the body.

Roll out your mat tonight. Move slowly. Breathe deeply. Let your shoulders remember freedom.

Thrill drill Thursday plank leg lifts

There’s a moment in plank where everything asks for your attention—your hands pressing down, your core drawing in, your breath steadying the mind. Then, with intention, one leg rises.

It’s more than a balance challenge. It’s a reminder that strength and lightness can exist together. .

Yoga isn’t about holding the perfect shape. It’s about discovering what the shape awakens within you. So today, step onto your mat and explore:

Let this pose remind you: your power comes from being fully present. When you are grounded, you can lift into anything.

Thrill Drill Thursday - Leg mobility

If your legs feel tight, your hips restricted, or your core disconnected… it’s not just stiffness—it’s a lack of mobility and control. Strength without mobility limits how your body actually moves.

Imagine feeling grounded, powerful, and light on your feet your legs move freely, your hips open with ease, and your core supports every step, bend, and flow.

Try this leg mobility drill:
Slowly, steady, intentional reps on each side.

Ready to build strong, mobile legs and a connected core?

Thrill Drill Thursday. Arm planks

Looking for strong arms?

Arm strength isn’t just about power—it’s about control through movement. If your shoulders and core aren’t working together, your flow loses stability.

Picture moving seamlessly from plank to side plank doen to forearm plank—steady, and in control. No collapsing, no shaking—just strong, fluid transitions.

Save this and add it to your next session to build strength you can actually flow with.

Thrill Drill Thursday Low lunge side plank with extended leg.

You’re probably doing Low Lunge…
But are you using it to build real strength?

This low lunge side plank leg lift may look simple—
until your core, hips, and shoulders all have to work together.

What if your flow could actually make you stronger—not just more flexible?
This transition trains stability, balance, and control in one seamless move.

That shaky, “I might fall” moment…turns into “wait—I’m holding this.”
That’s not just strength. That’s confidemce that you can feel.

Try 3 slow reps on each side. Focus on control, not speed.
Then ask yourself—what else could your body learn with the right guidance?

If this challenged you, there’s a whole system waiting for you.I break down drills like this step-by-step on my every Thursday—so you don’t just flow, you progress

Thirll Drill Thursday Balance hips

Think about how much time we spend sitting every day. Tight hips, stiff lower backs, restricted movement. Now imagine the opposite:

• Hips that move freely
• Strong, stable balance
• A body that feels open instead of compressed

That’s what this drill builds, one breath at a time.

Slow down.
Breathe deep.
Let the stretch travel through the hips while your balance builds strength from the ground up.

Where am I holding tension?
Space opening through the hips.
Try 5 slow breaths on each side today.

Save this drill so you can come back to it during your next practice. Your hips will thank you later.

Thrill Drill Thursday Half lotus chair extended leg.

Ever feel like your practice hits a plateau where you’re just "going through the motions"?
We’re moving from the deep, grounded opening of Half Lotus Chair to the expansive fire of an Extended Side Leg Balance. This isn't just a drill; it’s a conversation between your focus and your flexibility.

Most people think balance is about being still. It’s not. Balance is a constant micro-adjustment. As you transition, notice how your standing foot "roots" into the earth while your spine reaches for the sky.

Feel the heat building in your standing glute as you sit deep into that one-legged chair. you wobble, smile! A wobble is just your nervous system learning something new.

Try this flow today and tag me in your stories! I want to see you finding your center in the middle of the movement.

Thrill drill Thursday - Hand, Foot and Moon.

There’s a moment in this drill where everything gets quiet. This transition — from Ardha Chandrasana into Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana is about intentionally slowing things down

And that’s when the wobble comes.

Trust in your standing leg.
Trust in your breath.
Trust when the ground feels far away.

Notice the tiny muscles waking up.

In thd Half Moon, your heart opens, your body is expansive. In Hand to Foot, everything draws in as the core hugs in.

This drill teaches you how to move between those energies without collapsing.

And if you wobble?
Good. That means you’re exploring your edge.

Balance isn’t about being still.
It’s about being responsive.

Save this. Practice it.

Thrill Drill Thursday
Ever wonder why your handstand feels so close… yet still out of reach?

This handstand push ul drill isn’t about brute strength. It’s about control and confidence upside down.

What if your handstand isn’t missing power—but precision? This drill teaches your shoulders to press, your core to lift, and your mind to trust the process.

That moment when your body realises,“Wait… I’ve got this.”Strong. Steady. Supported.Fear turns into focus.

Save this drill.
Practice it 3–5 times a week.
Slow reps. Intentional breath.
Tag me when you try it, or drop a 🤍 if handstand push-ups are on your goal list.
