💛 Supporting Local Families, One Baby Bundle at a Time 💛

Wirral Baby Nest believes that every baby deserves a safe, warm and loving start in life, regardless of a family's circumstances.

Based here on the Wirral, they provide pre-loved baby clothing and essential items for families with babies and young children aged 0–2 years who may be struggling to afford the basics.

They can help with items including:

🍼 Clothing
🧸 Blankets
🧥 Coats and hats
🧼 Baby hygiene essentials
🍼 Bottles
🤱 Breast pads
🩹 Maternity towels
🛏️ Moses baskets
📚 Books and early learning items

Every bundle is thoughtfully prepared to meet a family's individual needs. Whether it's a few essential items or a larger package of support,

If you or a family you know could benefit from their support, or if you'd like to donate good-quality pre-loved baby items, please get in touch. Together, we can make a real difference for local families and give every little one the best possible start. 💛👶

🌟 Is your child feeling worried about moving up to secondary school this September? 🌟

The transition from primary to secondary school can bring lots of excitement, but it can also cause worries and anxiety for some children and families.

The Wirral Mental Health Support Team (MHST) is offering an Online Support Intervention (OSI) for parents and carers of children currently in Year 6 attending eligible Wirral primary schools. The programme provides practical strategies to help support children who are feeling anxious about the move to secondary school. 💙

✅ Weekly online modules to complete at your own pace
✅ A short weekly call with an MHST practitioner
✅ Tailored support to help build confidence and reduce worries

Parents and carers can self-refer using the link below:

Please share with any families who may benefit from this support. 💙

Get ready for a SENDLO Summer '26

Starting from today, we will share ideas for activities and days out.
Each week, we will highlight new SEND friendly options across Wirral and beyond

We know many of you will be holidaying in the UK. Here are three great platforms that help you plan your visits or days out wherever you are - links in comments.

🔷AccessAble
This website gives clear access information for places such as parks, museums and attractions. It explains things like parking, toilets, step-free access and quiet spaces. This can help you decide if a place is right for your family.

🔷Snowball
Snowball offers an online assessment. It helps families understand how accessible a venue or activity may be for their child or young person. This can support planning and reduce surprises on the day.

🔷Access Trails
Verified step‑free paths, clear access notes, and community‑shared routes. Plan your next outing with confidence.

You might want to make venues you visit aware of these sites, so they can share their accessibility too.

We hope these tools and our weekly updates help you plan safe, enjoyable time together this summer.

Follow this page to stay up to date and don't forget to check SENDLO What's On for details of all the SEND summer activities in Wirral. And if you find an activity or venue you think other SEND families would love this summer please tag Sendlo Wirral or use the hashtag

"It’s not just 'picky eating.' It’s a daily battle that most people don’t see." 🤍

If you are a parent or carer navigating the stress of sensory issues, food anxiety, or ARFID, we want you to know: You are not alone.

We are so grateful to Merseyside Women of the Year for featuring our new workshop, Bite by Bite. Designed by a parent who truly "gets it," this course isn’t about "perfect nutrition." It’s about the complex relationship our children have with food and the immense societal pressure we feel as parents to "fix it."

We’ve created a safe, judgment free space to tackle these challenges together. Read more about the heart behind this project in the full MWOTY article here:

Help keep vulnerable people safe in the heat 🌞

Stay out of the direct sun, especially during the hottest part of the day, between 11am and 3pm, as UV rays are strongest during these hours.

Drink plenty of fluids and avoid excess alcohol during the hot weather. 🫗
