Stress impacts the body in subtle ways but when we slooooow down 🐌 we can help with repair and regulation BEFORE injury, sleep disturbance, pms overwhelm or burn out occurs…

One aim of my classes is to help you with recovery & regulation….after movement, a stressful day OR during your luteal phase of your menstrual cycle our nervous system needs a little love. Guess what…👀

I offer NHS & STUDENT DISCOUNTS.
I’m excited to be offering two new classes starting September 16th one is ALL ABOUT RESETTING & REGUALTION but together they encourage balance of strength & stillness a beautiful balance our bodies and minds crave and need to THRIVE.

There are so many hypes, to dos, habits, diets, fads, ways to regulate your nervous system, ways to support your health.. there is so much NOISE, but it’s usually the simple things, the things that you intuitively seek out, the moments your body craves for- but we sometimes can’t hear that little intuition or instinct or true craving because we are too damn busy. So go chill, do nothing, rest, read, draw, walk…if you find this a little challenging to do, come to my reset & regulate class to learn a little more how awareness and rest can support this practice…

People often asked me if I miss working as a nurse and I didn’t until today …I love supporting you with my business but a part of me misses the other side …the education of wider audiences, of supporting women in need, of reaching women that I may have never reached with this platform. The role was part time, remote in women’s health as a nurse and it sounded blooodyy perfect! alongside my business of course (so dw I wasn’t going anywhere) but alas I’ll have to continue making my own way in this big wide world of women’s health 🧡

Nervous system & hormonal health…sometimes the hardest thing to do is to stop. When we notice that prickly feeling or mood changes this can be your body silently telling you to sloooow down 🐌

My favourite way to support the nervous system & hormonal health? Somatic yoga, Yin and Yoga Nidra. These practices gently bring me back into my body, help me release tension, and shift my body from a stressed state into rest and repair.
Join my classes, Womens yoga & cacao, somatic Flow or Reset & Regulate - COMING TO - reset & regulate is coming to the painted barn every Wednesday 7pm
Which i have been bursting to share with you all ! ✨🎉

I see how stress impacts hormones with my Fertility Awareness clients too. Stress and poor sleep can have a huge impact on hormonal health, contributing to worsening PMS, anxiety, mood changes and even changes in weight.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do for our hormones isn’t to do more… it’s to slow the f** down.

Ok so for some people this might not be a big deal but for me right now it is…my career is largely based around creating content, marketing and thinking of ways to share things. I share what I feel will inspire, educate or encourage you to come along to my THiiiNG aka my classes or 1:1’s… I enjoy this space when it’s used for good but I’ve found myself doomscrolling’s or checking ‘like counts’ far too much recently, which feels like when you’ve eaten a whole bar of chocolate and you have that sluggish mood... So off I hop to Sweden and I will delete Instagram & I will NOT be taking my laptop with me, which is a first in years! - I’m sure the itch to check posts I’ve scheduled will kick in or even to check this too - seems surely counterintuitive to say give this a like as a little reward for when I return online🤔… I’ll leave that for you to decide 😁

I’ve always struggled with PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome)

Some months I feel absolutely fine. My symptoms are mild, my mood is steady, and I move through the luteal phase (phase after ovulation day 14-28 of your cycle) without thinking too much about it.

But other months… it can feel really low. Really hard. Really dark.

Those are the months when I have to remind myself to be kind.

To stop asking myself…
“Why can’t I just do more?”
“Why am I so emotional?”
“Why can’t I just pull myself together?”

Because this is exactly when my body needs compassion, not criticism.

These are the moments I need yoga the most.

Not to “fix” myself.
Not to force my body into feeling differently.

But to slow down.
To breathe.
To reconnect.
To remind myself that my body isn’t working against me.

When I stop listening to what I need, the irritability, the prickliness, the self-doubt and the unkind inner voice slowly begin to creep in.

As a yoga teacher, I encourage my students to meet themselves with compassion time and time again.

But living that practice isn’t always easy.

So here is me, practising during a month where my PMS has felt particularly challenging.

Making time for myself.

Cancelling plans if I need to.

Sleeping more.

Resting more.

Moving my body gently.

Giving myself permission to do less.

Because supporting ourselves isn’t weakness.

It’s wisdom.

PMS isn’t “just in your head.” It’s a real response to the hormonal changes that occur after ovulation, and for some women those changes can have a profound effect on mood, sleep, anxiety and emotional wellbeing.

The more we understand our cycles, the more we can stop fighting our bodies and start working with them.

If you’re in that difficult week right now, I hope this reminds you that you’re not alone.

Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is soften. Let me know if this resonates or reach out.
