At acuity care, we’re recognising the International Day of Action for Women’s Health by supporting awareness and advocacy around women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights.

This global day highlights the importance of women’s autonomy, wellbeing, and access to safe, informed, and equitable healthcare.

It also serves as a reminder of the ongoing need to protect and strengthen health rights for women everywhere.

Together, we can continue to promote understanding, equality, and better health outcomes for all.

At acuity care, we’re supporting Bladder Cancer Awareness Month by helping raise awareness of one of the world’s most common — yet often overlooked — forms of cancer.

This month highlights the importance of recognising symptoms early, understanding the risks, and improving outcomes for those affected.

Organisations such as Action Bladder Cancer UK continue to provide vital support, education, and advocacy for individuals living with bladder cancer.

With high recurrence rates and the need for ongoing monitoring, awareness and access to information remain incredibly important.

What a fantastic Open Day at our Southampton Hub! It was wonderful to see such a lively atmosphere, with people chatting, sharing stories, and enjoying time together.

We had people we support, support workers, professionals and team leaders all in one room — a real celebration of community, connection, and positivity.

The beautiful and delicious cakes, made by the people we support, were enjoyed by everyone and added such a special touch to the day.

Thank you to Joanne Rose, Kristina Cullenaine, and the whole Southampton team for organising such a brilliant event. It’s always so refreshing and inspiring to hear the positive stories from the people we support.

Everyone had a great day, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

This global observance helps raise awareness of the violence and discrimination experienced by le***an, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities, while encouraging understanding, acceptance, and the protection of human rights.

Together, we can help create safer, more inclusive communities where everyone feels valued and respected.

National Smile Month

At acuity care, we’re supporting National Smile Month by promoting simple habits that can make a big difference to oral health.

Brush your teeth for two minutes twice a day using fluoride toothpaste, clean between your teeth daily with floss or interdental brushes, and reduce how much sugar you consume and how often you have it.

Small daily habits can help create healthier smiles and better overall wellbeing.

Today we are celebrating International Nurses Day at our Head Office in Nottingham with a wonderful get together, cake and a chance to catch up as a team.

International Nurses Day is a special occasion where we recognise and celebrate the dedication, compassion, professionalism, and hard work of nurses around the world. It is an opportunity to thank those who make a difference every single day through their care, commitment, and support to the people and communities they serve.

Kate Covelluzzi and Lisa Ruffell, Head of Clinical, and Nicholas Nyström - White, Complex Care Nurse Specialist, are attending and supporting today's celebrations alongside the rest of the team.

We are incredibly proud of all our nurses and the difference they make each and every day. Happy International Nurses Day! 💙

At acuity care, we’re proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week — a movement launched in 2001 by the Mental Health Foundation to raise awareness, encourage conversations, and support mental wellbeing for all.

Each year brings a new theme, helping shine a light on different aspects of mental health and the importance of connection, understanding, and support.

At acuity care, we know mental health support needs to feel personal and responsive. We support people to move from hospital settings into community-based living, with care shaped around individual strengths, goals and at a pace that feels manageable. Our specialist team – including a Mental Health Lead, PBS practitioners and neuropsychologists, work together to provide thoughtful, clinically informed support.

At acuity care, we know the challenges that face local NHS trusts, local authorities and integrated care boards when handling care procurement. High care needs and pressures in spending often leave people stuck in unsatisfactory care plans, with funding too tight to support those that fall outside of traditional care pathways.

This is where we can help. Our unique approach allows us to provide 100% of an individual’s care needs under one package- saving time, money and resources whilst delivering unbeatable levels of tailored care support.

We work with ICB’s and Local Authoritues to discuss the requirements of the people they support.
