🎶 Can you hum for 10 seconds without stopping? 🎶

Humming creates gentle vibrations that can help stimulate the vagus nerve: an important part of the nervous system involved in emotional regulation, relaxation, and the body’s stress response. 🌿🤍

While it isn’t a diagnostic test, noticing changes in your ability to hum comfortably may offer insight into how connected you feel to your breath, voice, and nervous system. 🧘

Give it a try and let me know: how many seconds can you hum? 💭👇

✨ 3 “Woo Woo” Things I Do as a Senior Therapist ✨

After years of working with people’s mental health, I’ve learned that some of the practices that sound the most “woo woo” can actually have a powerful impact on our wellbeing. 🌿

🧠 Visualisation – your brain often responds to imagined experiences in surprisingly similar ways to real ones.

🎶 Sound Baths – calming frequencies can help promote relaxation and reduce stress.

💚 Gratitude – regularly noticing the good can train your brain to become more attuned to positive experiences.

Sometimes the simplest practices can make the biggest difference. Which one would you be willing to try? 👇

🌿 Slow down for a moment 🌿

Take a deep breath 🤍
Inhale for 5 seconds 🌬️
Hold ✨
Exhale for 5 seconds 🍃

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause 🫶
Your body and mind deserve calm too ☀️

Breathe. Reset. Continue gently 🌱

🌿✨ Your thoughts are powerful.

When we constantly imagine the worst-case scenario, our minds and bodies respond as if danger is already here 😟💭
But practicing positive thinking can be mentally constructive, calming, and empowering 💛🧠

Imagining the BEST-case scenario doesn’t mean ignoring reality 🌈
It means giving yourself permission to hope ✨
To believe things could go right 💫
To create space for optimism, confidence, and peace 🕊️🌻

What if things work out?
What if you succeed? 💪
What if this situation brings growth, opportunity, or healing? 🌱💚

Your mind deserves supportive thoughts too 🫶
Feed it hope, not just fear 🌸✨

POV: you stopped letting other people’s bad vibes ruin your day 😌✨💅

Be a thermostat, not a thermometer 🔥🌡️
Stop absorbing every mood in the room 👋
You set the energy for YOUR life 💛🫶

Someone else having a bad day doesn’t mean you have to join them 😅☁️➡️☀️

Protect your peace. Keep your sparkle. Carry on 💃✨

🌿✨ When life feels overwhelming, it’s important to pause and give your mind the care it deserves. Anxiety and stress can make everything feel heavier, but small intentional habits can help bring clarity, calm, and balance back into your day. 💚

Here are 4 simple reminders to help protect your peace of mind:

• 📝 Write Your Thoughts Down
Putting your thoughts on paper can help clear mental clutter and make overwhelming feelings easier to process. Journaling allows you to reflect, release emotions, and better understand what’s on your mind.

• 🎯 Focus on What You Can Control
Not everything is within your power, and that’s okay. Instead of stressing over things you can’t change, shift your energy toward actions, choices, and habits that are within your control.

• 📵 Limit Information Overload
Too much news, social media, or constant updates can increase anxiety and confusion. Give yourself permission to disconnect, take breaks, and protect your mental space when needed.

• 🚶‍♀️ Take Small Actions
You don’t have to figure everything out all at once. Small steps forward: whether it’s making a phone call, going for a walk, tidying your space, or completing one simple task, can help you regain momentum and feel more grounded.

Remember, healing and growth happen one step at a time. Be patient with yourself and prioritize your wellbeing every day. 🌱✨

☀️ Step outside. Lift your face to the sunshine. Take one deep breath. 🌿💛

Sometimes regulation doesn’t have to be complicated: a few moments of sunlight, fresh air, and grounding in your body can help calm your nervous system and bring you back to the present. 🌞✨

Your body was designed to respond to safety cues in nature. Let the warmth hit your skin, unclench your jaw, and remind yourself: you are here, and you are okay. 🌼🫶
