What 1 year of not being perfect looks like 🤍
I think this is a really important reminder of what can happen when you stop looking for quick results and just keep going.
In the year between these photos, I’ve been navigating postpartum life and raising a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old.
I relocated my nutrition club and basically started my business again from scratch.
We’ve had holidays, weekends away, birthdays, Christmas, Easter, meals out and plenty of weeks where life has been absolutely manic.
And exercise? I’d love to tell you I’ve been smashing the gym consistently for the whole year… but I haven’t 😂
I’ve actually only found a proper exercise routine that works for me in the last couple of weeks.
There’s been no extreme diet. No hours in the gym. No putting my life on hold.
I’ve just kept coming back to the habits I know make me feel good, even when I haven’t done them perfectly.
I think sometimes we look at somebody’s transformation and want the end result in 3 weeks.
But imagine where you could be a year from now if, instead of giving up every time life got in the way, you simply kept going.
You can go on holiday.
You can celebrate birthdays.
You can enjoy Christmas.
You can be a busy mum.
You can have weeks where you’re completely out of routine.
Your results don’t require a perfect life. They require you to keep going when life isn’t perfect.
One year. Real life. Lots of imperfect weeks. And I’m really proud of how far I’ve come. 💚
Don’t give yourself 3 weeks and quit. Give yourself time.
