We talk a lot about growing our people and moments like this are the proof.

We're so proud to announce some well-deserved promotions within the Millennium tribe; from frontline to leadership, these three have earned every bit of it.

🌟 Paige - now taking on Community Enterprise alongside her existing role of Service Manager for supported living. One of our biggest services, in very safe hands.

🌟 Abbie - taking on the extra responsibility as Service Manager across Margarets Close and three additional complex services. A huge step that she's more than ready for.

🌟 Shannon Howlett - our new Deputy Service Manager, reporting to Abbie. Shannon will support Abbie with managing our other complex services (Whinney Lane, Doncaster Road and Whitehall Cottage).

This is a reflection of what's possible when you back your people and they back themselves.

Meet the people behind the people 🙌🏼

Every induction, every training session and every "you've got this" moment, starts with our Learning & Development team.

Every single day, they're the ones making sure our people have everything they need to show up and be brilliant - for themselves and for the people we support.

From day one, they're right there setting the tone for what it means to be a Millie.

They don't create what's already there, they help people see it in themselves, and they don't stop until their potential is unlocked.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Mental health is woven into everything we do at Millennium - the good days and the hard ones. We show up for each other fully, honestly and without judgement. That means having the right support in place as a culture, not just a policy.

Our team have access to our Employee Assistance Programme for confidential support whenever it's needed, regular wellbeing check-ins through our Wellbeing Spotlight campaigns, and meaningful conversations with their managers through our Developing Potential Discussions - where wellbeing is always on the agenda, not an afterthought.

We also offer benefits designed with real life in mind - from our Cycle to Work scheme to financial wellbeing discounts - because looking after yourself matters just as much as looking after others.

The truth is, working in care is one of the most rewarding things a person can do. It's also one of the most emotionally demanding.

And the people we support? They navigate their own challenges every day, often in ways others don't see.

It's okay to not be okay. It's okay to ask for help. And it's okay to need support even when your job is to support others 🤝🏼

Every quarter we bring our leaders together to connect, to challenge each other and to make sure we're all aligned with what comes next.

But this one was special because we introduced our Milliefesto ⭐️

How we turn our vision into action over the next five years....

Where we're going, how we're getting there and a promise to everyone who makes Millennium what it is.

“We bring our leaders together throughout the year to connect, learn and grow through our Millie Leadership Days. Our April session was a special one, as we revealed our Milliefesto for the next five years and shared how our vision and mission have evolved.

As part of Autism Awareness Month, our Head of Clinical Interventions, Dr Jeremy Tudway, is helping to break down some of the most common misconceptions by sharing insight that helps move the conversation from assumption to understanding.

When we take the time to learn, question and challenge outdated ideas, we create space for more respectful, informed and person-centred support.

💛 In the confidence someone builds when they try something new.
💛 In the independence that grows over time.
💛 In the pride someone feels when they reach a goal that once felt out of reach.

Support isn’t about doing things for people, it’s about standing alongside them as they discover what they’re capable of.

Throughout this month, as we continue conversations around understanding and inclusion, we’re reminded that every person’s journey looks different.

What matters most is creating the right environment, the right support and the right opportunities for people to thrive in their own way 🙌🏼
