Millennium Support

Millennium Support Welcome to the official Facebook account for Millennium Support. At Millennium Support, we believe everyone deserves to live life to the full. Whoever you are.

Whatever your background. And whatever your abilities. This belief fuels us to empower adults with complex needs, and champion them on their unique journeys through life. We stop to nothing to fulfil the lives of everyone we work with. Helping to find safe homes, forge meaningful friendships and build lasting skills. Because we see possibilities, not limitations. This isn't just support. This is respect. This is freedom. This is fulfilling lives.

This Learning Disability Week, we’re talking about something that has the power to make a real difference: communication 💬

Feeling heard and understood creates confidence, independence and the way someone experiences the world around them.

The way we listen, adapt and communicate matters more than we sometimes realise - and often, small changes can have a huge impact.

Better communication isn’t about having all the right words. It’s about being patient, approachable and willing to communicate in ways that work for the individual.

When communication improves, understanding does too 💛

What does it really mean to feel seen? 👇🏼

The theme of this year’s Learning Disability Week is “Do You See Me?” - a reminder that people with a learning disability deserve to be recognised, valued and understood for who they are beyond assumptions or labels.

At Millennium Support, being seen means more than simply being included. It means being listened to, respected and supported as an individual - with your own personality, goals, interests and voice.

It’s about creating environments where people feel comfortable being themselves, where independence is encouraged and where support is shaped around the person, not the other way around.

This week, we asked some of the incredible people we work alongside what being “seen” means to them 🩵

For more than six years, Millennium Support has been making a difference at our Hospice.

Since 2019, the people they support have regularly visited the Hospice to care for our gardens and allotment, helping create welcoming outdoor spaces for patients, families and staff. Their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm can be seen throughout our grounds, and the impact of what they do goes far beyond gardening.

The environment around Hospice care matters deeply. A peaceful garden can offer a quiet place to reflect, spend time with loved ones or simply enjoy a moment away from the challenges that illness can bring. Through their ongoing support, Millennium Support helps make those moments possible for countless people every year.

Steve Clough, Owner of Millennium Support, said:

"One of the things that makes me most proud is seeing the sense of pride the people we support have in what they achieve."

That pride can be seen every time the team visits the Hospice. Their contribution continues to enrich our Hospice community, while creating opportunities to develop skills, build confidence and make a meaningful difference.

Millie Mic Time 🎤

It’s time to go behind the scenes to get to know some of our amazing Millies working in the Millenium Support office.

While a lot of what we share focuses on the incredible people we support, there’s also a huge team behind the scenes helping everything come together every single day.

These are the people helping shape the culture at Millennium, supporting our teams and making sure the people we work alongside receive the best possible support.

Watch the video to see some of the personalities behind the job titles, celebrating the people who make Millennium what it is and giving you a glimpse into the Tribe behind the scenes 🩵

Sidenote: At Millennium, we don’t judge our Millies based on crisp preferences 🤣

For some people, the right home doesn’t already exist, so we work to create it together 🤝🏼

Our bespoke complex supported living service supports people with more complex needs to live as independently as possible, in a home designed around them.

We find and adapt properties to meet individual needs, creating person-led living environments that provide the right support, in the right setting.

We currently deliver bespoke complex supported living services across Coventry & Warwickshire and Yorkshire, working alongside individuals, families and professionals to develop solutions that promote independence, choice and long-term stability.

If you'd like to discuss a referral, we'd love to hear from you.

The right home really can make all the difference 💛

Rob Dalrymple named as CEO of Millennium Support 💛

Today, we’re sharing an important update about the future of Millennium Support.

Steve Clough is transitioning from his current position as CEO to focus more on his role as Owner, with Rob Dalrymple appointed as CEO.

This decision has been made with one thing at the centre - doing what’s right for Millennium, our Millies and the people we support as we continue to grow and move closer to our vision, mission and Milliefesto.

Steve isn’t stepping away from Millennium. As Owner, he’ll continue to play an active role across the organisation, championing our culture, values, relationships and the identity that makes Millennium what it is today.

As CEO, Rob will lead the day-to-day running of Millennium, guiding the organisation through its next stage of growth and development.

Together, Steve and Rob will continue working closely in partnership, combining their strengths, shared values and belief in where Millennium is going.

We’re also delighted to share that Karly Mason will join Millennium in August to lead operations.

What won’t change is who we are.

Our values, culture, commitment to our Milliefesto and focus on delivering outstanding person-centred support remain as strong as ever.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built together so far - and even more excited about what comes next ⭐️

This is why we do what we do 💜

Sometimes the biggest wins don't look like wins from the outside.

But to us, and to Tom, this one is everything.

Moments like this are what every Millie shows up for. The joy of watching someone you support rediscover something they love. The quiet pride in knowing your presence made it possible.

There's honestly nothing quite like it.

To Tom and the Sunnyfield team, thank you for reminding us why we do what we do 🙌🏼

This is what developing potential looks like 🩷

We talk a lot about growing our people and moments like this are the proof.

We're so proud to announce some well-deserved promotions within the Millennium tribe; from frontline to leadership, these three have earned every bit of it.

🌟 Paige - now taking on Community Enterprise alongside her existing role of Service Manager for supported living. One of our biggest services, in very safe hands.

🌟 Abbie - taking on the extra responsibility as Service Manager across Margarets Close and three additional complex services. A huge step that she's more than ready for.

🌟 Shannon Howlett - our new Deputy Service Manager, reporting to Abbie. Shannon will support Abbie with managing our other complex services (Whinney Lane, Doncaster Road and Whitehall Cottage).

This is a reflection of what's possible when you back your people and they back themselves.

Paige, Abbie and Shannon - thank you for your dedication, we couldn't be prouder 👏🏼

Congratulations aren't big enough for this lot 🏆

Every quarter we celebrate the Millies who go above and beyond. The ones who live our values not because they have to, but because it's just who they are.

This quarter's Values Champions absolutely deserve their flowers 🩷

The Millie Handbook 🩵

Every new Millie receives one of these as part of their induction at Millennium Support.

It’s a shared understanding of who we are, what we stand for and the values that shape the way we work every day.

Inside, it outlines the expectations, behaviours and standards that guide us as a tribe, alongside the commitment we make to both the people we support and the people we employ.

At the heart of it all is The Millennium Promise 🤞🏼

A commitment to leading with kindness, supporting independence, working with integrity and showing up for one another - every single day.

Over 500 Millies have now signed The Millennium Promise, and that number continues to grow 👏🏼

“This isn’t just a handbook. It’s the foundation of our culture, our values and the way we work together as one tribe.”

If Millennium sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we’d love to hear from you.
