Studies show that most people (around 90% inc athletes) ) breathe poorly without knowing it.
I know that may sound surprising, but the way we breathe can influence our physiology, sleep, energy and emotional state.
I recently received this thoughtful testimonial from Joanne, who completed a 3 week Functional Breathing program with me. Using functional breathing work informed by the Oxygen Advantage methodology, I helped her understand the why behind the practices, rather than simply telling her to “breathe better”.
With consistency and practice, Joanne’s BOLT score increased from 6 to 15, giving her a clear indication that her breathing tolerance was changing.
She also noticed that she was waking less during the night and, when she did wake, she was able to settle back to sleep immediately. Perhaps most importantly, she found that when something knocked her out of balance, she could return to a more settled state more quickly.
There were no exaggerated promises. Just practical guidance, encouragement and the opportunity to experience the changes for herself.
This is Joanne’s experience, not a guarantee of results but certainly inline with the experience of many others. If you’d like to understand your own breathing and its connection with your body and nervous system, message me to find out more.
What would you most like to improve: sleep, energy, stress or emotional balance?
