Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects an estimated 6% of children and adolescents worldwide—approximately 1 in 17. (World Federation of ADHD International Consensus Statement)

For clinicians and educators, the challenges are ongoing: recognising different presentations, making accurate diagnoses, understanding coexisting difficulties, choosing appropriate interventions, and supporting children in busy classrooms. Working with families and supporting the transition to adulthood add further complexity.

Updated knowledge and collaboration across health and education are vital to meeting these challenges.

Join the Sri Lanka Association for Child Development for ADHD Study Day 2026, bringing together clinicians, therapists and educators for practical updates on assessment, behavioural and pharmacological management, classroom support, and complex clinical cases.
