We are proud to announce the opening of a new Griswold Office in East Louisville, KY. Jason Fahey and Jessica Burke found themselves managing the healthcare of a parent with chronic health conditions and hospice care for another. They realized that if they felt overwhelmed, their neighbors in Louisville did too. Through their legal and operational expertise, they strive to ensure that a son can return to being a son rather than a nurse, and that a spouse can focus on their partner rather than a medication schedule.

Our March winner Mbie started caregiving back in 2018, simply because she had time on her hands and a heart that naturally leans toward helping others. What started as “something to do” quickly turned into something much deeper.

Her current client doesn’t just appreciate Miss Mbie…
He introduces her as his daughter and we can attest, that didn't happen by accident.

She builds trust through constant communication, learning each client’s preferences so they can lead while she supports. And when things get tough, because they always do, she stays calm, gives them space, and shows up with patience and care.

Mbie’s mindset is simple:
“This could be me one day… so I treat people with love.”

Moments that stand out most to her?
Hearing “thank you” after helping someone through a hard time.

Compassionate. Caring. Patient.

Congratulations to our February Care Award Recipient - LUCIA ⭐️ 🌟

Lucia’s journey into caregiving spans three countries and countless lives touched.
She began caring for a cancer patient in Peru, an experience that inspired her to pursue nursing. Her path later took her to Panama, where a life-changing moment confirmed her calling: after caring for a gentleman with prostate cancer for over a year, he was so grateful for her compassion and dedication that he helped fund her nursing studies, telling her she had everything it takes to be a great professional.

For the past four years in the United States, Lucia has been a valued member of the Griswold Home Care team. Known for her empathy, proactive spirit, and resilience, she brings energy and encouragement to every client; helping them stay active, independent, and supported with dignity.
Lucia believes caregiving should come from the heart, not just for the paycheck, and that philosophy shines through in every life she touches.

Outside of work, she continues growing by renewing her CNA certification, continuing her English classes, finishing her nursing courses in Montgomery College and volunteering with parish groups supporting migrants and families in need.
