BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT SPA!

We're growing, and that means we're looking for another great person to join our crew!

Sycamore Point Academy is hiring a Full-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Huntington, WV!

We're looking for someone who's dependable, kind, loves working with kids, and isn't afraid to jump in and have some fun! From dance parties to community outings and celebrating big wins, there's never a dull moment at SPA!

A few details:

🌿 Full-time | Monday–Friday, 9–5
🌿 Starting at $18/hour
🌿 Must have a valid driver's license
🌿 Experienced RBTs welcome! New to ABA? We'll train the right person!

We're excited about what's ahead for SPA, and we'd love to find someone who's just as excited to be part of it!

Happy AAC Awareness Month!
At SPA, we know there’s more than one way to have something to say!
AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and it can look like a lot of different things: gestures, sign language, picture boards, communication books, tablets or devices that help someone communicate, and more.
One thing we love about AAC is that it gives kids even more ways to communicate. Using AAC does not stop someone from learning to speak. Instead, it can give kids more ways to connect with the people around them, advocate for themselves, and show off their personalities.
Whether it’s spoken, signed, pointed to, selected on a screen, or communicated another way, every voice deserves to be heard.
This month, we’re celebrating our AAC users and all the different ways communication can look!

Meet Brittany!
We’ve got a new face at Sycamore Point! Help us welcome Brittany Gardner to the SPA crew.
Brittany is a Huntington local and Marshall University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Before joining us, she built a strong background in direct mental health care, working hands on with individuals in crisis. That experience helped shape her interest in behavioral support and the difference that individualized, meaningful support can make.
Brittany chose to pursue the RBT path because she wanted the chance to work directly with kids, helping them build practical skills, communicate, grow their independence, and feel more confident in themselves.
She’s officially jumped into life at SPA, and we’re so happy to have her here learning, getting to know our kids, and starting her ABA journey with us.

Every piece of art found a home!

Thank you to everyone who came out to Falling Into Growth, spent time looking at our learners’ work, and placed a bid. Seeing people show up for our artists meant so much to us.

A huge thank you to HACKS and Katie Spencer for putting on such an amazing art show and helping our learners share their work with the community.
