A fun weekend ahead. I'm teaching an advanced aromatherapy workshop all day on Sunday: "Sacred Botanicals: Returning to the Plants." We have some amazing essential oils to experience as well as advanced protocols and uses.

This is my first time teaching at Bohemia Salon & Wellness and I'm looking forward to experiencing your lovely space.

Foundation Aromatherapy weekend coming November 20-22, same location. When registration opens, I'll post it on this page.

Holy hot! Our temps in SE Wisconsin will be nearly 100° today.

For people outside & farm animals, shade is a critical need! But don’t forget fruits. Melons are great for hydration. Apples (good for hot/dry air days), berries, grapes, and “stone” fruits are all great too. Think “sweet & juicy.” ( I give my chickens & sheep some watermelon on hot days.)

Fruit is best eaten at room temp, but with these temps, slightly cooled is refreshing too!

How nature gives us mirrors as teachers.

Smoldering burn pile shows how inflammation in the body continues to smolder, even after taking an anti inflammatory. That’s just masking the symptom, not addressing the REASON you are inflamed.

Identifying the root cause, making changes there, that is where true healing takes place.

Set up for the Barn Market at Bohemia Salon & Wellness for the afternoon. Cool location in a 150 year old refurbished barn. I shared mall-batch teas, essential oils, wool dryer balls (from our sheep,) and all things women’s health. Lovely afternoon.

Happy Mothering Day 😍

Out here surrounded by green grass, trees, and growing things, I’m reminded that mothering is an energy as much as it is a role.

It’s in the tending.
The nurturing.
The protecting.

The way we hold space for life to grow — in our homes, our communities, with our animals, the earth, and within ourselves.

Today I hope you receive some of the same care and nourishment you so freely offer to the world. 💚

Road food doesn't need to knock your health off balance!

My group "Women Seeking Balance" recently finished up their spring cleanse.

Although I've been doing cleansing for over 10 years, the first for me was leading (and participating) in the cleanse while I was on the road.

I had lots of learning moments and upon reflection, I found the prep work before I left very helpful. I didn't want to take cumbersome kitchen equipment in my camper so I spent a few hours before leaving to batch prep some excellent choices. I loved this practice so much so that I'm carrying that forward to future road trips.

I leave tomorrow and here are two of my favorite things that are ready to go:
Vibrant Green Juice 🍋🥬🫚🍏🥒
Raspberry Chia Pudding🥣

(The almond butter is a topper for the pudding and the Macadamia "milk" is used to make the chia pudding.)

Also, I love White Mountain yogurt. Especially the fact it comes in a reusable glass jar ❤️🫙
