Summer temperatures can rise quickly, and so can the temperature inside a mailbox or parked vehicle.

If you’re expecting medication by mail:
• Pick it up as soon as possible after delivery.
• Don’t leave medications in a hot car.
• Store medications according to the directions on the label.

For patients who live in remote areas, Snake River Community Clinic can often mail medications when needed. Because shipping is an added expense for the clinic, donations to help cover postage are always appreciated, but never expected.

Our goal is simple: helping every patient receive the medications they need safely and reliably.

Every healthcare professional starts somewhere.

Snake River Community Clinic is proud to help train future medical providers by giving students the opportunity to learn in a community-centered healthcare setting.

Experiences like these prepare tomorrow’s physicians to care for patients with compassion, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the unique healthcare needs within our region.

Investing in future providers helps strengthen healthcare for everyone.

Celebrate safely this Fourth of July!

Fireworks are a favorite holiday tradition, but every year they also lead to thousands of preventable injuries. A few simple reminders can help keep your celebration safe:
✔ Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
✔ Keep children a safe distance away from fireworks and sparklers.
✔ Have a bucket of water or hose nearby.
✔ Never relight a firework that didn’t ignite.
✔ Treat burns immediately with cool (not icy) water and seek medical attention if needed.

Wishing everyone a safe, healthy, and happy Independence Day!

Please note our clinic will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of the holiday.

As temperatures rise, it’s important to stay ahead of heat-related illness and medication concerns.

A few summer health reminders:
• Stay hydrated
• Don’t leave medications in hot vehicles
• Watch for signs of heat exhaustion
• Check on older family members and neighbors
• Keep sunscreen and basic first aid supplies handy

For many patients, access to medications and preventive healthcare can make a major difference during the summer months.

SRCC is here to help uninsured and underinsured community members access care and support when they need it most.

As a proud member of the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (NAFC), Snake River Community Clinic is committed to providing safety-net healthcare for uninsured and underinsured individuals in our region.

Free and charitable clinics help bridge gaps in care by:
• Reducing unnecessary ER visits
• Supporting preventive healthcare
• Helping patients manage chronic conditions
• Connecting people to additional community resources
• Providing compassionate care during difficult times

We also encourage patients with available insurance coverage to use their benefits whenever possible so limited free-care resources remain available for those with the greatest need.

Healthcare access strengthens the entire community.

June is Men’s Health Month, a reminder that preventive care matters at every age.

Many serious health conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease, can develop quietly without obvious symptoms. Regular medical care helps catch problems earlier and keeps people healthier longer.

SRCC helps uninsured and underinsured patients access:
• Preventive care
• Blood pressure checks
• Diabetes management
• Lab testing
• Medication support
• Referrals for additional care

Healthcare shouldn’t wait until there’s an emergency. If you're in need, schedule an appointment at SRCCFREECLINIC.ORG or give us a call at 208-743-5899.

Sometimes the first step toward healing is simply having somewhere to turn.

“Due to a shortage of mental health care in our area (and nationwide), SRCC provides a critical service helping patients bridge the gap between mental health providers.” - Catherine, RN at SRCC.

At Snake River Community Clinic, patients facing financial hardship, stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges often come to us because they have nowhere else to go.

Our team works to help stabilize patients, connect them with resources, and provide compassionate support during difficult seasons of life.

As nurse Catherine shared: “Our team helps them stabilize and recover; often allowing them to lead more productive lives back in the community.”

We’re grateful for healthcare professionals like Catherine and Carol, whose commitment to caring for others extends from international medical missions to serving patients right here at home.
