Welcome the sweetest boy Elias Klif 7lbs 6.2 ozs 20 1/2 inches long! We met this lovely family halfway through their pregnancy in the middle of mom finishing college and a busy life! Her calm confidence was the first thing we noticed while talking with her about her birth plan and wishes. When mom began labor she and dad worked through the cxs and called our team when she was 6cm and moving into active labor. Mom's ability to trust her body was so amazing as she quickly went from 6-10 and then moved through multiple positions to help baby move through her pelvis. Dad was so in tune with her needs she barely had to say anything. It was amazing to witness. Soon after baby was born we had heavier bleeding than expected (it's never expected but we are always ready in case). Through it all mom remained strong and had a sense of peace about her. We ended up needing to go in for some urgent next level care and are so grateful for the medical teams that we have good relationships with! Dad kept Elias close and reunited him with mom as soon as possible. This mom is extremely resilient and with prayers and blessings had a healthy postpartum recovery! Sometimes there are no answers for every turn that childbirth takes, but we trust the story and we trust the God who is present at all of our Birth's. It was such a privilege to serve your family and you all have made a lasting impression on our midwife practice. Grow big and strong Elias and do good things in this world.

Welcome to this world handsome Augustus James 9.lbs9oz 21 inches long. "Gus" joined his parents in a hurry but his story really starts a few years ago! He is a rainbow 🌈 baby and we first met his parents when they were expecting his older sibling. Through that loss and much prayer his parents reached out again when they found out they were expecting. We immediately got mom on progesterone supplementation to support this pregnancy and it worked! Through the unknowns and challenges of this pregnancy mom focused on the goal and dad provided support. Since there had been a gap between mom's last birth and this baby we thought labor might take its time but we were very wrong!!!! When dad called to say mom had woken up in active labor it didn't seem they would make it to the birthing suite. 15 cxs later Gus was born into his dad's hands. With Midwife Ivy and Nurse Jen 1 hr away they guided the placenta delivery over the phone and were blown away by this couple's resilience. Dad stayed calm and focused and by the time we arrived he had mom and baby tucked into bed. God had his hand over this family from start to finish and we are so grateful. Gus we adore you! Grow big and strong and do amazing things. He joins two older siblings who love him so much. God bless you all.
