Where’s WHA? At the WHIMA Wisconsin Health Information Management Association Annual Conference!
WHA presented and exhibited at this years WHIMA Annual Conference.
• Kyle O’Brien, WHA President and CEO, presented a session, “The State of Health Care in Wisconsin,” discussing the current state of healthcare in Wisconsin, how health care providers are affected and how health care can impact the current environment.
• Emily Holden, Data Operations Specialist, and Brian Competente, Vice President of WHA Information Center, exhibited, providing resources to WHIMA members.

As 2026 National Hospital Week comes to a close, we want to thank Wisconsin hospitals and health systems for all they do to care for and strengthen their communities. WHA President and CEO Kyle O’Brien says it best: “Let us celebrate the hospital teams who show up every day for patients and families. And let us also recommit to protecting hospitals that deliver our children, treat our parents, care for our neighbors and respond around-the-clock in moments of crisis.”

During National Hospital Week, we not only want to recognize the hospitals within our state, but also the more than 5,000 hospitals who provide care to their communities throughout the United States! Check out this post from the American Hospital Association 🏥

There are over 5,000 community hospitals in the United States. The care they provide for patients is critical and often extends beyond the four walls of the hospital.
