It means you love yourself enough to stop people-pleasing a five-year-old.
It means letting them figure it out so they actually grow.
It's the boundary that makes you a better mom.

She didn't die when they were born, mama. She's just been on hold.

And here's the good news nobody hands you: the line is still open. Same woman, same fire, just buried under everybody's needs for a while. And buried is something we can dig out.

So say her name again. Out loud. Before you can see one single shred of proof. That's exactly how you built everything the first time - you spoke it, then you went and got it.
