By Appointment Only- If you do not have an appointment to float, please call before you come in to make sure we are here. Float Quad Cities has two, state of the art float rooms available. The float can be extended to 90 minutes for an extra $10. Visit FloatQC.com for information about floating, pricing information and to get your float scheduled! Floating is the art of doing nothing! You simply f

loat in a light and sound proofed room, on 10 inches of water filled with 1,000 pounds of epsom salt. The water is around 35% salt, compared to the ocean, which is only 3%. This provides for effortless floating and relaxation. Float tanks were invented in the 1950's, and people have been using them for many years, including many professional athletic organizations. Also known as sensory deprivation or isolation tanks, floating has a ton of benefits, and more research is being done on floatation therapy everyday. Sensory deprivation sounds scary, but it is not. By giving yourself the opportunity to experience an environment free of distractions (like light and sound), your brain can relax and focus on other important things. It is not unusual for people to have huge breakthroughs during or after a float. Floating is also great for learning faster or practicing a speech or presentation. Other benefits include:
- Deeper meditation
- Faster muscle recovery
- Better sleep
- Stress reduction
- Chronic pain relief
- Relieve inflammation
- Replenish magnesium
- Improve mental clarity
- And much more...

Another amazing benefit of floating is absorbing huge amounts of magnesium through the skin. Magnesium is the "master mineral" and is critical for over 300 functions within the body. And most people are deficient. It is possible to ingest magnesium through your diet, but let's face it, most people don't eat the amount and quality of food needed to maintain optimum levels of important vitamins and minerals. Our skin is an incredibly efficient way to absorb magnesium, so you can imagine that floating in epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is going to have huge benefits for you.

Important note: This is not intended to be an exact depiction of a dad bod. All dad bods are different. But they all float.

Get the dad in your life who refuses to do anything good for himself a float gift card. It's quiet, and an adventure. He'll roll his eyes but his sore body will be saying THANK YOU!!!

Your body has been keeping score. ✅

Every stressful day. Every night you didn't sleep. Every time you pushed through when you should have stopped. Every tension headache, tight shoulder, clenched jaw you've just learned to ignore.

Your body remembered all of it.

Chronic stress doesn't just live in your head. It lives in your muscles, your joints, your nervous system. It shows up as pain that won't go away, sleep that doesn't restore you, anxiety that hums in the background no matter what you do.

And the tricky part? After a while it just feels like...you. Like that's just how you are now.

It's not.

That's just a body that hasn't had a real chance to unwind.

Float therapy gives you that, and more.

One hour, weightless, in 1,100 lbs of magnesium-rich water.

✅ Near Zero Gravity
✅ No pressure on your joints and muscles
✅ No input
✅ No demands
✅ Peace like you've never felt
✅ Nervous system reset

Your nervous system stops bracing for the next thing. Your muscles don't have to hold anything up anymore. Your brain finally gets a break from the noise.

And your body starts to let go of what it's been carrying.

It doesn't fix everything. One float won't undo years of stress overnight. But people leave saying they feel lighter. Clearer. Happier. Less pain and tension.

Like something they didn't even realize they were holding just...released.

Your body has been keeping score.
Give it an hour to reset.

Open for floating Friday - Tuesday (Including Saturday and Sunday) at 911 16th Ave. Moline

I'm sharing this, because this is the stuff you don't get to hear from the big corporations.

👂 You only hear this stuff from small businesses.

Businesses that start from a tiny seed, get nurtured and watered and fed over years, and grow into something no one could have imagined.

So the story goes...my contractor and I were looking at this big, large, blank wall that faces the street, conveniently placed in front of a long line of gigantic windows at the building we are renovating for FloatQC's new home (not done yet).

He said casually, and with the utmost sincerity...

"You should put FloatQC's story on this wall, and light it up so everyone can see it."

And, I cringed.

👀 What story? There's no story. 👀

I started a business in Moline. People like it. End of story.

So I quickly shut that conversation down.

Many of you know this renovation has taken much longer than I anticipated. And I have wanted to give up so many times.

But you know. It's something I tell you all. Day in and day out, while encouraging you to JUST COME FLOAT.

--- Transformation happens in the spaces that make us uncomfortable. What I've learned is that the story matters. My story. Your story. It matters. ---

I started FloatQC officially back in 2016. By myself. Me, myself and I. Lots of people thought I was crazy. The people that said they would support me, didn't.

Banks wouldn't give me a loan, even though I had great credit and collateral. It was an unknown business. Not yet proven.

So I used credit cards and my house and got it done.

We officially opened January 27, 2017 - ALMOST TEN YEARS AGO!!!! And I found my people.

Now I'm doing it again. As crazy as I might be, I went 0 to 60. From a small hole in the wall float center that people have said to my face, "Oh, I thought that was a money laundering front!!!"
..to a building 10x the size, 5 float cabins and multiple other wellness modalities.

Expanding, incorporating more of my gifts that many of you don't know about.

Creating one of the most unique businesses the Quad Cities has ever seen.

We are getting closer, super close! You can support my vision by continuing to float at our original location (911 16th Ave. Moline) and ordering organic juice and gluten free, plant based meals!!!!

I appreciate every single person who has walked through FloatQC's doors, commented, shared. It's been a transformational journey!!!! ~Aaralyn, Owner

NOT IMPRESSED.

Occasionally we get comments from people who were expecting their float to be earth shattering. Which makes total sense, based on our reviews. The first float is often life changing for many people, but sometimes it's not. Which is ok.

I've been floating 10+ years. And I'm still learning more about float therapy and my body/mind every time.

My response to this particular comment was that float therapy isn't meant to be impressive.

It's literally you floating effortlessly in a near zero gravity magnesium float solution, practicing stillness on many levels.

How is that supposed to be impressive?

Your brain might feel bored without constant stimulation, which is a GOOD THING.

Saying you're not impressed with float therapy after 1 float is like going to the gym once and being disappointed you didn't lose 50 pounds or grow huge biceps.

Many people come in extremely skeptical, expecting they won't be able to relax...and they leave very surprised because they relaxed more than they thought.

The benefits of float therapy happen 100% of the time.

Whether you notice them or not depends on what your expectations are, how in tune with your body you are, and how much pain/stress/anxiety/insomnia you have.

Float therapy is an extremely important tool for healing. You can choose to use it for your own growth and healing, or not. ~Aaralyn, Owner

😅 TRUE STORY!!!! This is the power of floating!!!!

A lovely woman floated for the first time last week. She was super worried about being alone with her thoughts, but tried it anyway.

She loved it. Felt amazing. Thoughts slowed down.

And the best part?! She was in town for a graduation party and had to see her ex-husband.

As you can tell from our super scientific "ex-husband hate meter," her detest for him was off the charts.

After her float? At the party? She reported back there was no hate. Super chill. Did not care about the dude.

If you need a nervous system reset and mood uplift, come see us this weekend!

Short story time! We once had a woman drink a Red Bull before her float. We found out when she got out a little early, because her mind was racing and she was bouncing off the walls. 😅

Before your float, we send a list of tips designed to optimize your float experience. No caffeine at least 3 hours before your float is one of them!

And that's why. Caffeine is a stimulant and encourages the opposite of what you're trying to achieve with float therapy!

Along the way, we've had a few others have the same experience after having caffeine before their float, so please try to avoid it so your brain has the best chance to relax!

Simone is a freaking rockstar who uses float therapy to help manage symptoms from MS (multiple sclerosis).

She texted us 5 minutes ago that after her float yesterday, she's in less pain and slept so good!

We were also informed that it was World MS Day today, and THAT is why you're seeing Simone's lovely face on your feed today.

Many of our clients come to FloatQC having tried everything else under the sun for their chronic pain. Float therapy for them is often life changing.

If you've been wanting to try it, now is the perfect time.

New wellness center renovation progress update!!! There isn't a lot of visible stuff to show you, but here is a before and after.

This is where our grab and go fridges will be. We have the drywall up and are waiting for mudding/taping to happen.

Then we can get the floors in and start painting! Still no firm open date, but getting closer! 💃💃💃
