For any Medicare patients that have been seen at Herron Dermatology, I thoughtfully request that you help me send a message to Congress to stop the proposed Medicare cuts in 2027. In addition to cutting reimbursement by 9% in 2027, penalizing small practices with 2% to 6% cuts for performance, they will cut same day procedures associated with any office visit. This is not just Herron Dermatology, but all physician in the US. Their 2027 rule would most likely force Medicare patients to have additional and unnecessary visits to any doctor for treatment or diagnosis.
