Repost from

Last week, Kyle stopped by the 25th Police District alongside to spend time with the officers who serve our communities every day.

One thing we continue to learn through Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes is how important mental health support is within law enforcement. Police officers carry an enormous amount both on and off the job, and many times those conversations are not easy to have. As we continue learning more from officers, departments and organizations working in this space, we’re optimistic about finding more ways to help create support systems and encourage open conversation around mental health.

A special thank you to mental health specialist for her professional expertise and relentless efforts in helping officers feel comfortable having these conversations. The work being done to break down barriers and create trust in this space matters more than people realize.

Sometimes it starts with something simple. Showing up. Talking. Letting officers know people care about them beyond the badge.

Also… we’re not saying visiting the community before a five homer run was good karma… but we’re also not NOT saying it. Schwarbombs powered by positivity?

Thank you to the 25th District and Families Behind theBadge for having us out. 💙

If you need to restore your faith in all that is good…there is nothing like .

28 years ago I was Patrick’s teacher (he was 12, I was 22). Today I was able to see him and his teammates play their hearts out on the court for the Spring Sectional 🙏🏼🏀& work to qualify for the championship at Penn State.

I am so proud of him, I could burst.

If I’ve ever taught your children, they will forever be mine too. Like I tell all my cops now…you’re stuck with me🙏🏼💙

Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.

This week I instructed a session on physical stress recovery for the 25th district in Kensington on behalf of Foundation - and we had an extra special participant in our session as a surprise⚾️

Kyle’s work off the field with his is amazing. It’s incredible how abundant he was with his time on a game day, and how humble of a guy he is.

Great day from start to finish.

Thanks to FBBCF for sponsoring class and inviting my family on the field, the for taking such great care of everyone, and to Kyle & Jeff .mp3 for the tickets⚾️(and the win). I couldn’t ask for better people to share my day with🙏🏼💙

Side note: it was my first time at the Bank…hadn’t been to a game since the Vet! Not sure we can ever top this as a first visit…⚾️

The cutest part of the night was one of the little boys in our group asking for an excuse note from Kyle for his math homework, which he wrote for him on a post it note🤣 I hope his teacher enjoys that one.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who struggles to play catch up after a busy stretch of travel✈️

Within three weeks, I traveled over 9,707 air miles to get home again. The people I travelled to meet and instruct made it all worthwhile (the final week was a vaca, so…that part is on me🤣).

My 2nd week travelling was to Vegas for the “Pathways To Excellence” National Fraternal Order of Police conference; wellness branch led by - it was amazing as always. I got to see so many familiar friends and faces which was great! My husband Bill got to come and assist me as well which was a bonus (I instructed both Yin yoga and to support better rest and sleep).

There is nothing like being around so many passionate, like minded people.

Funny thing is, my new friends from Northern Ireland (L J Kelly, Elaine McCormill) and Scotland (David Threadgold) probably traveled that far just to arrive in Vegas in the first place, but I’m so happy they did!

Hopefully this time next year, I’ll be gearing up to head to Northern Ireland to see them all again at the Federation’s conference and support more officers across the pond🙏🏼

When I’m instructing wellness practices, I feel the most aligned with myself and what I’m truly passionate about. It’s really such an honor & it makes all the miles worthwhile 🙏🏼💙

My Mira usually sleeps during presentations so she was ready to go nuts once I was done 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks to everyone who joined me today for the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice training, it was great to see you! Feel free to reach out with any questions or if I can be of support in any way🙏🏼🇺🇸

If you’re with the Delaware Department of Justice (and you’re not at the range for training today…) join me at 11am on Teams for an hour session. You’ll head into your lunch hour relaxed and refreshed!
