For the first time in decades, the FDA has approved a new sunscreen ingredient for use in the U.S.

Meet Bemotrizinol, a broad-spectrum UV filter already used in Europe and other countries. This ingredient helps protect against both UVA (aging rays) and UVB (burning rays), offering more stable and effective sun protection.

Mohs surgery provides the highest cure rate for skin cancer while preserving the most normal tissue possible, for optimal cosmetic results. This patient saw us for a Mohs surgery to treat a squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) on the upper lip. The upper photo shows the area after the skin cancer was removed. The lower photo shows the patient at his 6 month follow-up appointment, with great lip symmetry, nearly invisible scar, and no skin cancer.
