🚁🐣 Special Delivery to the Aeromed Family! 🐣🚁

Please help us welcome the newest member of the TGH Aeromed flight crew…

👶 Ronan Kenneth Angell 👶

Ronan made his grand arrival on June 9, 2026, at 5:20 PM, weighing 8 lbs 4 oz and measuring 21 inches long.

Born to our very own Flight Paramedic Todd Angell and his fiancée Rebecca, Ronan has already stolen the hearts of everyone around him.

Todd and Rebecca have spent the last several months preparing for Ronan’s arrival in their own unique way…raising and caring for a flock of baby chicks. Little did they know, those fluffy feathered babies were just helping them practice for the real hatchling that was about to arrive! 🐥💙

Now, Ronan joins a household already full of love, excitement, and a few very curious chicken siblings who are probably wondering why this new chick gets all the attention.

For now, his aircraft is a bassinet, his flight suit is a swaddle blanket, and his mission schedule consists of eating, sleeping, and keeping Mom and Dad on standby around the clock. But if his first few days are any indication, he’s already proving himself to be a strong addition to the crew.

Todd and Rebecca, congratulations on your beautiful son. We are so incredibly happy for your growing family and wish you a lifetime of laughter, adventures, and cherished memories together.

Welcome aboard, Ronan. Your Aeromed family can’t wait to watch you grow. 💙🚁🐣

🎉 Happy 3rd Birthday to the TGH Aeromed Ground Transport Program! 🎉

Three years ago, we launched a vision to expand the reach of TGH Aeromed and provide safe, reliable transport for the patients and communities we serve. What started as a new program has grown into an essential part of our mission, thanks to the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of the incredible paramedics, nurses, communications specialists, educators, leaders, and support staff who make it all possible.

Over the last three years, this team has embraced growth, overcome challenges, built strong partnerships, and continuously raised the bar for excellence in patient care and transport medicine. Most importantly, you have done it while supporting one another and representing our program with pride and compassion every day.

To every team member who has helped build this program from the ground up, thank you. Your hard work, commitment, and passion have shaped what the Aeromed Ground Transport Program is today.

We are incredibly proud of how far you’ve come, and even more excited for what the future holds.

Here’s to three amazing years and many more to come! 🚑💙💛

Please join us in congratulating Claire Piazza on successfully completing orientation with the TGH Aeromed Ground Transport team!

When Claire joined our program, her clinical background was rooted primarily in pediatric care. While the transport environment presented an entirely new set of challenges, she arrived with something far more valuable than experience alone: an incredible work ethic, genuine humility, and an unwavering drive to learn. Those qualities cannot be taught. They are part of who a person is.

From day one, Claire immersed herself in every opportunity to grow. She sought out knowledge, asked thoughtful questions, welcomed feedback, and consistently demonstrated a commitment to becoming the best clinician and teammate she could be. Her dedication to learning and continuous improvement quickly became evident to everyone around her.

Our Unit Based Educator described Claire as having a “quiet but fierce drive,” a trait that played a significant role in her success throughout orientation. While she may not always be the loudest voice in the room, her determination, resilience, and commitment to excellence speak volumes.

Claire has already proven herself to be a tremendous asset to our Ground Transport team, and we are excited to watch her continue to grow within the Aeromed family.

Congratulations, Claire! We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and cannot wait to see what your future with Aeromed has in store.

As we wind down celebrating our 2026 Crew Members of the Year, TGH Aeromed is proud to recognize our Aeromed/Metro Aviation Pilot of the Year, John “JTP” Myers. 💙🚁

John joined Metro Aviation and the TGH Aeromed program in March 2017, bringing not only exceptional knowledge, but also a personality and leadership style that quickly became a cornerstone of our team culture. During his time with the program, he has served as the Lead Pilot at our Aeromed 2 base before transitioning to Aeromed 1, where he continues to make an impact every single day.

If you have ever flown with JTP, you know he brings more than just skill to the cockpit. He brings positivity, professionalism, laughter, music, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Whether he is singing along to a song, teaching during a flight, or calmly navigating a challenging situation, John has a way of making everyone around him feel supported, confident, and genuinely enjoy coming to work.

One of the things that makes John truly special is his dedication to education and communication. It does not matter whether you have been with Aeromed for 20 years or 20 days, John takes the time to teach, explain, and ensure every crew member understands what is happening and why. His “get it done, but do it safely” mindset perfectly reflects the culture we strive for every day.

Outside of aviation, John has a deep love for fishing and an even greater love for his incredible family, both of which he speaks about with immense pride.

John embodies the partnership between Metro Aviation and TGH Aeromed in the best possible way. His commitment to safety, teamwork, mentorship, and patient care leaves a lasting impression on every person fortunate enough to work beside him. His outgoing personality, constant smile, and ability to keep spirits high make him someone crews naturally gravitate toward, both in and out of the aircraft.

Thank you, JTP, for always bringing energy, positivity, and safety focused leadership to our program. We are incredibly grateful for everything you bring to this team and honored to celebrate you as our 2026 Aeromed/Metro Aviation Pilot of the Year. 👏💛

As we continue recognizing our 2026 Crew Members of the Year, today we are incredibly proud to celebrate our Aeromed/Metro Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year, Patrick McNab.

Patrick serves as the Lead Maintenance Technician for the TGH Aeromed program through our aviation partner, Metro Aviation, where he leads a team of 10 and oversees five aircraft across four bases. With nearly 16 years at Metro Aviation and serving the Aeromed program since 2019, Patrick has become such an important part of the heart of this program.

While many people see the aircraft launch and the crews caring for patients, what they may not always see is the amount of hard work, dedication, and responsibility happening behind the scenes to make those missions possible safely. Patrick carries that responsibility with incredible pride and commitment every single day. He works tirelessly to ensure our crews have safe, reliable aircraft and never hesitates to do whatever needs to be done for this team.

Patrick is the kind of person who truly cares. He cares about the safety of our crews, the success of the program, and the people he works alongside. He leads with humility, consistency, and a quiet dedication that earns the respect of everyone around him. No matter the hour, the challenge, or the workload, Patrick shows up and gives this program everything he has.

Outside of work, Patrick loves fishing, but those who know him best know that nothing matters more to him than his family. The pride and care he pours into them is the same care he brings to this program every day.

Patrick, thank you for the countless hours, the sacrifices, the leadership, and the work you do behind the scenes that keeps all of us safe. We appreciate you more than words can properly express, and we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of the Aeromed and Metro Aviation family.

Congratulations, Patrick. This recognition is so well deserved.

As we continue celebrating our 2026 Crew Members of the Year, today we are proud to recognize our Ground Paramedic of the Year, Ed “Yeti” Wheat.

Since joining TGH Aeromed in January 2025, Ed has made an impact that is impossible to miss. His drive, initiative, and energy have been evident from day one. Ed is the definition of a self starter. Whether he is completing continuing education, researching new ideas, texting our educators with suggestions, or finding practical solutions to everyday challenges, he is always thinking about how to make our program better.

Ed embodies the mindset of working smarter, not harder. He is dependable, motivated, and the kind of teammate who never has to be asked twice. When something needs to get done, Ed is already figuring out the most efficient and effective way to make it happen.

One of his many recent contributions included helping reorganize Aeromed’s ground supplies and medication stock into a more functional and efficient system, creating additional space and improving accessibility for our ground teams. His willingness to jump in and help wherever needed has not gone unnoticed.

Most importantly, Ed brings a positive attitude and relentless work ethic that makes those around him better. We are incredibly grateful to have him as part of the TGH Aeromed family.

Congratulations, Yeti, and thank you for everything you do for our crews, our program, and our patients.
