🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, HILLARY | ORIENTATION COMPLETE! 📞🚁🚑🚨

Please join us in congratulating Hillary Padilla, Aeromed Certified Air and Ground Transport Communications Specialist, on successfully completing orientation!

It is difficult to fully appreciate the responsibility carried by our Communications Specialists until you have experienced everything that happens behind the scenes. Hillary not only accepted that challenge, she gave orientation her all.

Our Comm Specs are truly the heartbeat behind our operation. They complete intake for air and ground transport requests, dispatch our aircraft and ground units, flight follow every mission, and coordinate inbound and outbound aircraft to our helipads.

At the same time, they receive and distribute air transport patient reports, take incoming ground EMS reports for the TGH Emergency Department, Brandon Healthplex, and Kennedy Freestanding Emergency Department, and ensure those reports reach the appropriate receiving teams. They also page trauma alerts and activations, strokes, STEMIs, burn alerts, and countless other time sensitive notifications.

And that is only scratching the surface.

It is a role that requires exceptional situational awareness, organization, communication, multitasking, and the ability to remain composed when multiple critical events are unfolding at once.

Throughout orientation, Hillary embraced those responsibilities while bringing something equally valuable to our team: her positivity. She is recognized for her upbeat personality, her willingness to help, and for being a team player who is always ready to support her fellow Comm Specs.

Hillary, completing orientation is an accomplishment worth celebrating, and we are so proud to officially welcome you to the Aeromed team.

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS, CHRISTIAN | ORIENTATION COMPLETE 🚁

Please join us in congratulating Flight Paramedic, Christian Ellsworth, on successfully completing orientation and officially earning his wings with TGH Aeromed! Christian has joined our Aeromed 2 team in Sebring, bringing with him an incredible depth of experience, leadership, and dedication to patient care.

Christian comes to Aeromed with 14 years of paramedic experience with Manatee County EMS, where he served as a Charge Paramedic, advanced to Field Training Officer, and ultimately completed his time there as a District Chief.

A résumé can tell you where someone has been, but the people who have worked beside them tell you who they are. Christian’s preceptors and teammates, including some who had the opportunity to work alongside him at Manatee County EMS, describe him as dependable, passionate about medicine, quietly confident, and the person others turn to because they know the job will be done and done well.

He is a natural caregiver, who takes tremendous pride in his work, puts his team and program first, and continually challenges himself and those around him to reach higher. Perhaps most importantly, he has been described simply as “an all around great human, personally and professionally.”

Our Aeromed orientation process is no easy feat. It is intentionally rigorous and requires our newest crew members to demonstrate the clinical knowledge, critical thinking, adaptability, teamwork, and operational proficiency necessary to care for some of the most critically ill and injured patients we serve.

Christian nailed it.

And he did so while remaining humble, hungry for knowledge, appreciative of every opportunity to learn, and genuinely grateful to be part of this team.

Christian, we are incredibly proud to welcome you to the Aeromed family and excited for everything you will bring to Aeromed 2, our program as a whole, and the communities we serve.

Every training, every skill practiced, and every partnership built is about being ready when one of these incredible K9 officers needs us most.

We are so grateful to Tampa Police Department for trusting TGH Aeromed to train alongside their team and other regional K9 teams. These K9s dedicate their lives to protecting our communities. Making sure those who serve beside them are prepared to protect them in return is exactly why we do what we do. 🚁🐾

🚁 AEROMED ACADEMY IS BACK — AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! 🚁

It’s been a while since we’ve hosted an Aeromed Academy open to individual participants! With the incredible demand for agency-specific education and training, our team has been busy bringing Aeromed Academy directly to our EMS and public safety partners.

But the time has come. Registration is officially OPEN!

💰 Cost: FREE
🎓 8 CEUs
👥 Open to licensed paramedics and registered nurses
⚠️ Limited to only 20 participants!

This Academy will feature a full day of advanced critical care education and hands-on training:

🫁 Managing the Advanced Airway
• Advanced airway lecture
• SALAD station
• Surgical airway station
• Lung lab

🐾 K9 Care & Transport
• K9 care and transport lecture
• Hands-on skills lab with high-fidelity K9 simulators

And because a full day of learning requires fuel, TGH Aeromed will provide a light breakfast and lunch.

Our goal with Aeromed Academy has always been simple: share knowledge, strengthen our EMS community, and give clinicians the opportunity to practice high-risk, low-frequency skills before the moment they’re needed most.
