MSSC members and orthopaedic surgeons Jacob Birlingmair, MD, Daniel Prohaska, MD, and John Estivo, DO, participated in the Kansas Self-Insurers Association's recent annual conference in Wichita. Dr. Birlingmair, of Advanced Orthopaedic Associates PA , did a presentation on lumbar disc herniations. Dr. Prohaska, also with , spoke as part of a medical experts panel. Dr. Estivo, of Mid-Continent Orthopedics, was also on a panel.

A look back at the Kansas Self Insurers Association (KSIA) Annual Conference!

Our team enjoyed connecting with employers, adjusters, nurse case managers, and others from across the workers' compensation community while discussing ways to improve care for injured workers throughout Kansas.

We are especially proud of our physicians for sharing their expertise during the conference:

Last week, our team had the opportunity to attend the Kansas School Nurse Conference for the first time!

We enjoyed meeting school nurses from across Kansas, sharing resources, talking through orthopaedic injuries, and highlighting how Advanced Orthopaedic Associates and AOA Now Orthopaedic Immediate Care can help care for injured students.

We are especially proud of Dr. Hayley Jansson for sharing her expertise during her presentation on orthopaedic injuries. We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside school nurses and other healthcare professionals who play such an important role in caring for students.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and made us feel so welcome. We had a great time and look forward to attending again next year!
