From today, some budgets will change over the following 12 months in two support categories:

👉🏼 Social, Economic and Community Participation

👉🏼 Improved Daily Living Skills.

The impacts will be different for every participant. In this example you can see what the changes mean for Connor, whose NDIS plan includes some SECP supports that aren't included in the budget reductions.

The support coordination and connection consultation is closing soon.

We’re seeking feedback on early ideas for a future support coordination and connection service that will commence from July 2028. This is intended to change the way that participants currently receive support coordination services, aiming to be better, more consistent, and more responsive to their needs.

There are no immediate changes to current support coordination arrangements

🚨The SIL registration deadline is 30 September.

If you’re an unregistered provider and want to continue providing Supported Independent Living (SIL) under the NDIS, apply for registration now.

Once you’ve applied, you can continue providing SIL while your application is being processed.

If you do not intend to register, notify the NDIS Commission as soon as possible. You must stop providing SIL and support affected participants to transition to an appropriately registered provider.

🚨 Important reminder for unregistered Supported Independent Living (SIL) providers:

Now is the time to apply for registration if you want to continue providing SIL under the NDIS.

If you do not intend to apply for registration, you need to notify the NDIS Commission. You must stop providing SIL and support affected participants to transition to a registered provider by 1 October 2026.

It is a serious offence to provide SIL on or after this date without having applied for registration. The maximum penalty is up to 2 years’ imprisonment, a fine of 120 penalty units, or both.
