Rebalance is excited to announce the addition of another experienced physio that specializes in concussion rehabilitation and vestibular therapy! Rae Ann Erickson will be joining us in September!
Rae Ann graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
She has worked in acute care, hospitals, and private clinics in Canada, the United States, and New Zealand.
She completed the Competency-Based Vestibular Rehabilitation course at Emory University School of Medicine and has continued to advance her expertise through numerous postgraduate vestibular rehabilitation courses. Concussion rehabilitation is another area of special interest. Rae Ann remains current with the latest research and uses an integrated, whole-person, evidence-informed approach to treating both acute and persistent concussion symptoms. Her postgraduate training for concussion includes advanced assessment and treatment of the seven concussion phenotypes, oculomotor dysfunction, nervous system regulation using somatic techniques, and BradCliff Breathing Method (Levels 1 and 2).
She has taught at the School of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan, delivered an Introductory Vestibular Rehabilitation course for physiotherapists in New Zealand, presented professional seminars on vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, and mentored colleagues in both areas.
Rae Ann is registered with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists and the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.
