Forest-bathing at Alderley Edge National Trust yesterday 🐌 ✨
The most gentlest of walks yesterday, I was joined by two friends, a gift from one to another.
Two women who spin many plates ~ work, family, children, life… constantly in thinking, planning, giving and being productive. Always thinking about the step four ahead.
Normally my forest-bathing walks are fully booked weeks ahead which I’m very grateful for. When I see a small booking for 2 or 4 I know this space is meant for us only.
Yesterday was absolute confirmation that this space will be what it needs to be for those who are there.
We went so slowly, once they’d settled into the practice and noticed the difference forest-bathing was making to both what they were experiencing within the woods and how they felt within themselves they embraced this time for this with open arms.
Lying on a tree to be held and supported, hugging a tree to feel the energy travelling through the tree into their body. Being with a bumble bee hoovering over the earth, taking in the beauty of a magpie’s emerald tail.
Standing in stillness, lying in rest, pausing to be.
In doing so emotional were released, worries and wants shared with the woods, a deeper understanding of the chapter they were in.
Mind, body and soul revived 🙏🏼
So grateful for these mornings shared together, how special they are.
👉🏼 next forest-bathing walk Saturday 13th June 10am-1pm
With cacao tea amongst the trees, 10% of ticket goes to National Trust charity.
I wonder who will join me 💫
With love,
Amanda
