Let’s be honest – not everyone likes their feet being touched! This is where hand reflexology can be a great alternative to foot treatments.
Other people find that they simply prefer to have their hands treated. This may be because their hands are naturally more responsive and receptive than their feet. After all, our hands are one of the most sensitive areas in the body.
And some people may require hand treatments due to a foot or ankle injury or other conditions affecting their feet.

I joined the AoR when I was training as a Reflexologist, and have been a member ever since. They are the UK's professional body for Reflexologists requiring that members stick to a Code of Practice which ensure professionalism, integrity and high quality treatments.
The organisation also provides members with ongoing training and advice.

I had a lovely time this morning at the Peak Women in Business Group. I shared hand reflexology tips for relaxing the body and reducing the effect of stress.
In the workshop, the group got to learn a bit a about the physiological affects of stress on the body – and then how hand reflexology works to bring the body back into a place of deep relaxation where it can find restoration and balance again.
The simple techniques were easy to learn and the best bit is that you can take them with you anywhere – all you need is your hands - using the fingers/thumb on one hand to work on the other.
At the end of each treatment I give, I share a few hand reflexology pointers for people to take away with them and use on their hands. It’s a part of the ongoing care that I offer to my clients at
Gentle Reflexology.
