Fancy a beer?....

Well, the lovely residents of Orchard House did, and so they soaked up the sunshine at the annual Ruddington Beer Festival, enjoying beer, cider, live music, and the relaxed summer atmosphere as crowds gathered on The Green for “Ruddfest” — the village’s popular beer, food, and music celebration. The event is known for its wide selection of beers and ciders alongside family-friendly entertainment and outdoor seating in the sun. It was a lovely trip out for everyone, made all the better by the fab weather!

Congratulations Mihiri!

Our lovely staff member, Mihiri Fernando, successfully passed her Level 5 in Care last week with the support of the My Care Group. This is a terrific achievement and testament to her commitment and professionalism.

Mihiri joined Orchard House in December 2022. Since then, she has progressed from Care Assistant to Senior Care Assistant, and later to Care Coordinator through her hard work and dedication.
After successfully completing her Level 5 qualification in Care, she has now been appointed to another care home as a Deputy Manager.

We are incredibly happy and proud of Mihiri’s achievement and wish her every success in her new role. Once again, a huge congratulations from all of us at Orchard House Care Home!

Enjoying VE Day.....

Our lovely residents had a wonderful time celebrating VE Day last week. They enjoyed a wonderful show from local entertainers Kevin and Marie, who gave us all a lot of laughs and some great songs. The afternoon was filled with joy, music, and laughter, bringing everyone together to remember and honour this special occasion. It was heartwarming to see so many smiling faces and residents joining in the celebrations and enjoying the lively atmosphere.

Enjoying the sunshine....

Our lovely residents enjoyed the beautiful sunshine last week while spending time in our stunning garden. It was wonderful to see everyone relaxing, socialising, and making the most of the warm weather. The garden was filled with smiles, laughter, and happy moments as residents enjoyed the fresh air and peaceful surroundings together.

Happy Birthday Marilyn!

Our lovely resident, Marilyn, celebrated her 80th birthday last week here at Orchard House, with her family and staff. It was a wonderful occasion, made even more special by a lovely cake prepared by our own cook, Alicic. Everyone enjoyed the celebration, and it was a truly memorable day filled with warmth, laughter, and joy.

A lovely thank you.....

Attached is a letter from one of our residents' families. Peter wrote to express his sincere appreciation to all the staff here at Orchard. He is very happy and grateful for the care and kindness shown to his wife. The compassion, professionalism, and dedication of the team have meant a great deal to him and his family. He truly appreciates the support provided during this time and thanks everyone for going above and beyond to make his wife feel comfortable and well cared for. So a huge thank you to Peter for taking the time and trouble to say thank you - it means a lot.
