New Blog Post — Stepping Into the Stream
In a world of hypermasculinity and men taking up more space than is theirs to take, I have found it a challenge to be “loud” about what I do.
Imposter syndrome has been a frequent companion, and the fear of being just another white man taking up space that belongs to others has sometimes kept me from taking up the space that is actually mine, and sharing what I do=.
Spirit has (patiently) repeated to me over the years, in several different ways, how to approach this.
Here's some of what I’ve been learning.
Many years ago, I felt called to begin to offer some teachings on shamanism as part of my practice. I had years of training as a practitioner, and ample experience as a teacher (years in each of high school math, martial arts, and some spiritual practices) and this calling felt aligned and natural.....
