Is it ADHD… or is your child just not sleeping enough?
A child who can’t sit still.
A child who forgets instructions.
A child who is emotional, restless, “hyper,” or constantly distracted.
It’s easy to think—“Is this ADHD?”
Sleep deprivation in children can perfectly mimic ADHD. When kids don’t get quality sleep, you may see:
• poor attention in class
• hyperactive behavior
• irritability and mood swings
• learning difficulties
• impulsive reactions
And the biggest problem?
It’s often mistaken for a behavioral or neurodevelopmental issue first.
Before jumping to conclusions, always ask:
👉 How is the child actually sleeping?
Because sometimes the “hyperactive child” is not ADHD…
It’s a child whose brain is simply running on too little rest.
