This week, in one of my Divine Feminine Reclamation healing sessions with Laurie, this was the intention her soul asked to work with:
“I release the programming that when I put myself first, I’m selfish. I fill my cup first, and then overflow to others.”
What unfolded was profound—and I have a feeling it will ring true for so many, especially women.
I entered the clairvoyant space I work from during healing sessions. There was a very ethereal energy as the soul songs began to come through. As I was singing, Laurie saw a subtle image of Mother Mary in her third eye.
Laurie shared that my soul song became the voice of Mother Mary’s somber cry for the suffering and repression of women. She saw Mother Mary walking through the desert, sand blowing across her face. Then she entered a cave, still crying.
Laurie felt a dull ache in her right side that became more intense as she watched Mother Mary enter the cave—a space that can often represent the womb.
Something needed to break free.
It ached from being suffocated.
The ache in Laurie’s womb spread into her right o***y, and the healing energy began to transmute what was ready to be released.
Then I saw Laurie as a very little girl, wearing red, waving at me, trying to be seen.
We returned to the intention:
“I release the programming that when I put myself first, I’m selfish. I fill my cup first, and then overflow to others.”
That was the awareness that was needed, and the energy began to do its work. The little version of Laurie had to walk across shards of glass several times, breaking and severing the programming of martyrdom, of keeping herself small, of putting herself last.
She gave herself full permission to drink from her own cup first.
And then Laurie began to grow.
Bigger and bigger.
Until she became enormous.
Meanwhile, in Laurie’s third eye, she saw a person curled up in a ball, beginning to take baby steps—like someone breaking out of their shell.
That was her.
She then caressed her body: her curves, her femininity, her soft skin.
There was heartache, but also the deep relief of realizing she could choose herself without consequence.
🌟 She could be expansive in whatever her desires were.
🌟 She could live in that space.
🌟 Take up space.
🌟 Live an or****ic life.
🌟 Sway.
🌟 Be soulful.
🌟 Be expressive.
There was a sob of relief—a release into the freedom to simply be.
This is what it can feel like to break free from the programming that tells women they are supposed to stay small.
😟 Not take up space.
😟 Not rock the boat.
😟 Not speak their truth.
😟 Put themselves last on the list.
😟 Accept the crumbs.
Ladies, it’s time.
The Divine Feminine is rising, and she is insisting that we do our inner work. That we look at our shadows. That we reclaim the parts of ourselves we were taught to suppress.
That we blossom into our full expression and reclaim our place alongside the Divine Masculine.
If you are feeling the call, consider joining the Divine Feminine Reclamation Mentorship—a 1:1 online program for the woman who is ready to own her power, her brilliance, her desires, and her full expression.
And for the men: you have an inner feminine, too. She lives in your heart and in your emotions. Learning to be in touch with that part of yourself is not a weakness—it is part of a healthy, integrated masculine.
Plant medicine ceremonies can also be deeply supportive in this kind of inner work.
If you’re feeling the call, consider joining us October 3–4 in Taos, New Mexico, for a co-ed retreat. For more information, simply reach out to us.
And finally, here’s to working and healing towards the interdependence of the feminine and masculine within ourselves—and within relationship.
