💧 Let’s Talk Lymphorrhea! 💧

Lymphorrhea is the leakage of lymphatic fluid through the skin and can occur when tissues become significantly swollen and the skin is unable to contain the excess fluid.

While it can be concerning, early and appropriate management is key! Treatment may include compression, skin care, wound protection, positioning, and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) to help reduce swelling and promote healthy lymphatic flow. 🩵

✨ Remember: leaking fluid is not “just water”—it’s a sign that the lymphatic system needs support.

Education + early intervention = better outcomes.
If you notice persistent swelling, skin changes, or lymph fluid leakage, seek evaluation from a qualified lymphedema therapist.

✨ Let’s Talk Hyperkeratosis! ✨

Have you noticed thick, hardened, or rough skin developing? This may be hyperkeratosis—a common skin change associated with chronic swelling. Hyperkeratosis is also an indicator that you suffer from lymphedema.

When lymphatic fluid remains in the tissues for an extended period, the skin can become thicker, drier, and more textured. Proper compression, skin care, hydration, and skilled lymphedema management can help protect the skin, support lymphatic flow, and reduce the risk of complications. 💚

Your skin is an important part of your lymphatic health—don’t ignore changes!
