Remember When Watermelon Had Seeds? 🍉
Watermelon season is here… and does anyone else remember when summer meant sitting outside with sticky hands and having seed-spitting contests with your friends and cousins? 😂 You’d see who could launch them the farthest! Now most watermelons are seedless… convenient, but kids today are missing out on an important summer sport.
Beyond the memories, watermelon is one of my favorite summer wellness foods—especially juiced.
🍉 Watermelon is made up of about 90%+ water, making it incredibly hydrating on hot days.
❤️ It contains lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that gives watermelon its beautiful red color and supports heart health.
💪 Watermelon also contains citrulline, a natural compound that may help support healthy blood flow and exercise recovery.
✨ It’s naturally refreshing and lower in calories than many processed summer treats.
🌱 Fresh watermelon juice = simple ingredients, no added sugars, and pure summer in a glass.
My favorite? Fresh watermelon juice with a squeeze of lime and a few mint leaves.
Tell me… were you a watermelon seed spitter too? 🍉😆
