The art of letting go - speaking on my recent lesson
I have surrendered to plant medicine, to child birth (medicated and unmedicated), to grief and loss multiple times, to childhood trauma and yet recently the letting go of a personal attack of my integrity, of my being, has been the hardest lesson.
To surrender to the unknown of someone else’s doing, of their “truth” of you but it being so far from my truth. And have zero control of the outcome.
It made me physically ill.
It made me question my purpose.
It made me feel powerless.
It made me feel unworthy.
I unraveled and slipped into an anger that I’ve never felt before. An inner rage that I (wanted but) couldn’t even unleash on someone but could only sit with it myself. It swirled inside of me like EF5 tornado but with no direction.
All the work I have put myself through over the years - this was the reality of “are you ready for the raw and real work”.
Just. Let. It. Go.
But actually letting it go - is so fu***ng hard.
The lessons never quit and they never get easier. Once you open the book of healing, you only go deeper each time. You might get spaces in time that you feel at ease or on a “break” - I felt that for quite a while. But this last year hit me deeper than I thought I could ever imagine.
My work has continuously taught me that I’m worthy, accessed my power and guided me into a life of deep purpose. And I know this. But healing will test your ability to dive even deeper into those lessons to ensure you are rooted in them, that you don’t go astray, to remind you.
I’ve never claimed this work to be easy, and I’m still working through the art of letting go of this last lesson. But I fully trust this is only for my highest good for myself, my spirit and the life I am building.
Heres your reminder:
You are worth the work.
You are powerful.
You are loved.
You live a life of purpose.
And…
Let. That. S**t. Go.
