“Don’t panic- be prepared!” That was the message of the day from Philadelphia City Commissioner Lisa Deeley.
Earlier this week we were happy to welcome Commissioner Deeley and her team to our Philadelphia office to discuss the importance of preparing to vote, absentee ballots, and voting by mail.
Self-advocates also had the opportunity to try an accessible voting machine. With features such as an adjustable screen, enlarged text, headphones, and more- these machines help make voting accessible for people who are blind, visually impaired, or have other accessibility needs. At least one accessible voting machine will be available at every polling place.
For more information about accessible voting- and to make sure you’re registered- visit the websites below.
Be prepared. Make a plan. Get out there and VOTE!
