hot moms club x Roots Physical Therapy are teaming up for a FREE
30-minute all-level movement class for parents who want to build strength while keeping their little ones close.
Join Dr. Kay Mastrocola, Pelvic Health Physical Therapist, for a fun outdoor workout where you’ll learn how to incorporate strengthening exercises into your everyday strolls — because movement doesn’t have to mean finding childcare or extra time in your day!!
Bring your little one, your stroller, and your energy! We’ll move through total-body exercises using your stroller as part of the workout.

***kiddos must remain safely seated in a stroller or carrier for the duration of class.

Colin is a Personal Trainer and runs the strength program here at Roots! He has been in the industry for over 20 years and has been fortunate to work with people of all ability levels. He particulary thrives on teaching people whom are new to the gym and setting the proper ins and outs of training safely and effectively. He loves helping people that are coming off an injury or ailment as well as teaching youth athletes now to train properly for optimal performance.

In the first session, Colin likes to first get to know the person and why they are here. He let’s them explain what has brought them here before jumping into some light movement and mobility drills relative to their goals. He also likes to learn what they do for fun and what brings them joy!

Colin’s favorite way to move when off the clock is a bit atypical and finds joy in mountain biking, backcountry snowboarding and rock + iceclimbing. You can often find him venturing to different parts of the Northeast to play in the mountains. His personal strength training routines revolve around being able to participate in these activities for as long as he can. He also helps organize outdoor-focused events for marginalized groups and is always invigorated by helping make the outdoors accesible to all! He also loves music and has been DJing since he was 18. He loves the energy of people on a dance floor!

Colin was fortunate to be a track and field athlete through college and a few years afterward, so he knows what it’s like to work harder than what your mind thinks is possible. He knows what it’s like to have massive setbacks and surgeries. He truly emphathizes with everyone that steps foot through our doors in some way.

We love throwing a party and it’s even better when it’s BINGO for a great cause. 🎤✨💃🏻 🕺🏼 🎧

is a Rhode Island nonprofit dedicated to meeting the unique and ongoing needs of LGBTQIA2S+ young people through direct services, support, advocacy, and education. 🏳️‍🌈

Together, we collectively raised $1,350 to support their work! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, played along, and helped make the night so special! Major shoutout to our own Emily Smith to help make this spontaneous idea a reality… of for DJing… for learning Bingo on the fly and being an epic emcee… our entire team and to the local businesses who generously donated raffle and bingo prizes!!

Same time next year? 😉

Rachael is an orthopedic clinical specialist and pelvic health specialist. Through her continued education and desire to understand complex conditions further, she has developed a niche in working with folks that have neurological disorders. Such including but not limited to post concussion, functional neurological disorders and vertigo. She is driven by the resilience of those she works with and the need to bring resources to underserved populations.

She describes her treatment approach as patient, quirky, thoughtful and nerdy. She believes that Physical Therapists act as great resources for understanding more about how our bodies feel and move. She states that there is normally a story or timeline that can be told on how our bodies present based on both our genetics and lifestyle.

Rachael lives in South Kingstown with her family and loves to explore the Rhode Island food scene. She especially loves Purslane in Wakefield. She also finds joy in impromptu dance parties wtih her daughter, chasing her dogs around the yard and by watching a fair amount of Bravo.

Movement and exercise is a very integral part of who Rachael is. She played soccer all her life. She played Club Soccer and Club Boxing, which eventually led to CrossFit training. Staying active keeps her regulated, so she is always up for a new game or sport with family and friends. She warns that she can be a tad competitive...
