Connection and community go hand in hand.

For the past two weeks, we’ve had the privilege of teaming up with our partners at the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging at the Aging Network Monthly Meeting and Wellness in the Park.

Together, we’ve been spreading the word to healthcare professionals, seniors, and the public about the vital importance of Advance Directives and senior services. Taking control of your future healthcare decisions is a necessity, and we are so grateful to CPAAA for partnering with us to highlight this crucial topic.

We have to ask: Have you completed your Advance Directives? If not, visit wichitamedicalresearch.org/advancedirectives to learn more and download your forms.

Anna Reimer, second-year medical student, oral presentation, “Barriers to Black or African American women receiving breast cancer screening.”

Thank you to the students and residents for your dedication to improving community health through rigorous research.

Earlier this month, WMREF was honored to sponsor the Kansas Health Science University Sports Medicine Conference, bringing together high school students from across the state!

WMREF Executive Director, Lai-L Daugherty and Kansas Leadership Center partner Darryl Kelly kicked the day off with an enthusiastic welcome, highlighting these bright minds as the true future of healthcare.
