“Knowing that I’m making oral health care more accessible and helping people stay on track with their oral health is something I take great pride in. I’m also a very social person, so I love having the opportunity to spend a little more time getting to know my patients. I would absolutely recommend being a dental hygienist as a career to anyone considering it.”

First-hand accounts from Sault Ste. Marie CDHA member dental hygienists describe the importance and value of the profession of dental hygiene.

Did you know that cheese can actually help prevent cavities?

Cheese is rich in calcium and phosphate, helps neutralize acids, and boosts saliva... all of which protect your enamel 🙌

Best choices? Hard cheeses like cheddar, gouda, and Swiss are the most beneficial.

Avoid processed cheese products (like cheese spreads). They often contain additives and sugars that don’t offer the same benefits.

So go ahead, enjoy a small piece of real cheese after meals for a smile-friendly snack!
