The Power of Reflection ~

No matter our intelligence, we become swept up in ideas of who we “should” be. Whether these be internal pressures from our psychology, or external pressures from the subcultures and society surrounding us.

A massive part of our experience is unconscious.

Maybe read that again.

When we live with awareness that a massive part of us is unconscious, we can begin to observe the non-verbal and non-labelled energy behind our actions, our thoughts, our beliefs and thus our choices.

With specific and focused intelligence, we can then shape our lives by creating with our unconscious. As we dispell the energies that go against our own grain, and nurture the energies that bring true wellness, a Harmony of Self emerges.

Horses in horse-guided sessions, are majestic mirrors to the Truth of our Being. Powerful beings of reflection, they guide us to see the energy and the unconscious that is shaping our lives.

Last night, I went into a meditative trance state with our four horses. Sterling Galaxy had his head bowed before me as I kissed his forehead. He was completely majestic and noble, and I released tears for the mistreatment of animals, for the cruelty in the world. He nodded his head and pressed his cheek to my cheek. I became aware of the light within us, part of ancient healing traditions snd science. I moved into blessing him as I threaded energy lines along his body, welcoming health and his beautiful unique energy to be fully within every physical fibre of his being.

I returned home to feel, really feel, where my years of wisdom gathering reside within me. Deeply. And to honour this - as I guide my clients - with acceptance snd honouring of my own place of authourity. I have often felt, since very young, that we have missed a Coming of Age Ceremony, where we are honoured by ourselves snd our community, as to who we truly are, and the gifts snd authourity we bring. I am feeling that what we will offer up here, will include this, however for all ages of adults, who have missed this are ready to profoundly honour their gifts.

Sterling Galaxy ~

Sterling for the word that refers to the purest star in the sky. The way his face was splashed all white while the rest of him was mainly black, when we first met, made me think of him being splashed by a star. Always felt the name of a Star with him, yet his name not Star.

Sterling also can refer to integrity, reliability, high quality. He has always been quite specific, about what he likes and does not like. He is exacting in his approval and disapproval. He asks a lot of humans, asking them to be better, to be their best self.

Sterling for purity, as he loves the quality of purity. He refuses many treats or foods, and has specific preferences. He likes the feel of the pure sun on him in the morning, and the wind in his hair, and he loves to watch the sunset, and the sunrise.

Sterling for my sweet and kind clients over the years, who loved this name most.

Also Steeling for those big strong trucks that have tremendous power and force, for his power and strength when he needs it.

Galaxy for the way he makes us feel. His side like a pattern of starlit galaxies stretched across the night sky. His power to hold the quality of awe like a beacon, standing majestic on the mountain or in the field, drawing passersby to be mesmerized by him, asking me about him later.

Galaxy for a commanding presence that scintillates, like the night sky, sometimes there, sometimes hidden. Galaxy for his elusive, mysterious quality, as if he just came out of the wilds and you are seeing a wild horse for the first time. Galaxy for his shamanic healing qualities, the deep sensitivity and the deep call for you to enter into your truth.

Galaxy for his healing qualities, bringing a galactic presence to the moment, ushering energies in that shift the aura, and re-organize our nervous systems into mire balance - similar to how we feel after star gazing, and then have the sweetest sleep and wake refreshed, knowing we are part of the universe.

I had a lovely discussion with a client today about the beauty of being companions to these rescue horses and opening up space for them to flourish - to believe in their power, beauty & worth. A joy like no other.

Horses Renew Us ~

Horses evoke a wordless sense of all that is wild, free, untamed, natural, sensitive, intuitive, powerful, beautiful, strong and magnificent.

When we are deep in shadow work or lost in fitting into to a mold designed by modern society, we can return to the spell of the sensuous that Horses Evoke.

We can be shocked out of the bland half-slumber if fitting in by realizing we live during a time where wild horses are taken to slaughter; while I usually steer clear of my pain and outrage about animal cruelty, these times are a reminder that our society is ill.

To know a horse, to sense a horse, to be wordlessly with a horse - in these moments you realize just how deeply, and specifically, these mystical creatures can transport us to a more noble and nature-connected realm. As they remind us of our own beauty, power and magnificence, they also strengthen us to meet the shadows with greater resilience, grace, determination and love.

Horses Strengthen Us.

I dream if a world that honours the wild herds, contributes to their welfare and well being, travels to view their magnificence roaming free over protected land, and cares for all rescue horses and horses that people have given up on - seeing their beauty, giving them forever homes that are healthy and loving.

Sterling Galaxy, the white and black “grey” horse in this photo was one horse, pulled out of a kill pen from a wild horse round up, likely around two years old. Traumatized by we don’t know who. Rescued by a series of living humans. Spiritually connected with me in a horse connection session with Lindsay Craig and who became mine fully when I took on his operation adventure, at a time when my resources were stretched thin.

Nothing can fully give words to the bond that we have. He daily reminds me of my wild self, and asks that I live up to my True Nature. He asks that I shed the blocks that keep us from realizing our Most Wildest Dream. As horses do, when we truly listen.

Self Worth ~ Why Worth is Magic.

In order to grow Self Worth, we absolutely have to make the intention to believe in ourselves.

Like the faery Tinkerbell in the story of Peter Pan, we revive and heal when we believe in ourselves, and believe in our Magic.

Our society plagues us with messages of how we are never enough. Not rich enough, not poor enough, not smart enough, not well enough, not beautiful enough, not connected enough, not trained enough - the list goes on. The messages are stimulate all the areas in our psyche where we feel that we are not enough.

So, the response is simple. Not easy, but simple.

We accept that growing Self Worth is a lifelong journey.

We commit to building Self Worth, working our Self Worth muscles daily, even when we don’t feel like it and everything seems to collapse into chaos - we continue.

We focus on being in a place of Self Worth that is Authentic, and through the Strength of this Practice, we allow the old dying branches of Inauthentic Self Worth to fall away. Literally. Because as we focus on building our Neural Architecture of Self Worth, we send more currents of electric life force energy through Self Worth Neural Curcuits, and less through Inauthentic Pathways in our Nervous System.

This, is Creative Nervous System Embodiment.

Enter Horses. Horses ruthlessly and unapologetically ask us to face the truths in our Psyche, and the truths about how we are holding our Self Worth. In the space with the Horse - virtual, in person or through a dedicated video recording of a transmission - in the space with the Horse, we refine our understanding of the energetic frequency around Self Worth, and how to clarify our Authentic Self Worth.

Then, the knowing gives the Strength to Step Forwards.

Then, the opportunities hidden before, Reveal.

Then, we have a Solid Foundation for the Courage to Live our Dreams.

“I am out with lanterns, looking for myself.” - Emily Dickinson.

Perhaps we can all relate to those times when we feel lost, and need to sense that truth within, where we know ourselves again - our true hopes, dreams, capacities and that inner North.

When we are “out with lanterns” looking for ourselves, the night of confusion can feel dark, lonely, dense with a fog of sorts. We may be searching outside of ourselves, effectively somewhat disembodied, watching for glimmers of what will bring us back Home to Ourselves, hunting for the slightest clue.

And yet, ultimately, we find ourselves when we resonate with a journey Within. If awe at the night sky full of stars brings us back Home to Ourselves, it is when we can resonate deep within.

Sometimes, the methods offered by a human to mirror the wild truth deep with our hearts, are not enough. The complex architecture of our intricate prefrontal cortex layers meaning upon meaning, and the message whispering from our True Self - our souls, our hearts, our bodies - is lost.

Enter the Horse.

Master Guide into the realms of the subconscious, the unconscious, the mystical and the very pragmatic physical unseen energies, the Horse brings a Great Gift.

The Horse peers through our layers of self abandonment, of masking, of people pleasing and fawning, of bravado covering over more challenging feelings - the Horse peers through these with an immediacy of accuracy that is simply stunning.

Stunning and profoundly refreshing.

So, if you are “out with lanterns” looking for yourself, perhaps it is time to come Home.

Enriched ~

“Enriched” is a word that we can use to guide our clients and ourselves to the reminder of how enriched we are, by the Beauty and Majesty of the Nature that surrounds - literally, physically, enriched if we allow ourselves to sink into the renewal that Nature brings, and how the Great Nobility of Horses guides us more deeply to an Enriched Place of Being.

Enriched:

• to make something better
• to make something richer
• to make something higher in quality
• by adding valuable elements
• improving with knowledge
• improving with beauty
• improving with wealth

The “wealth” that exists in nature recovers our resplendence. As we deeply inhale fresh wild oxygen from thick forests in remote settings, we physically bring our bodies and nervous systems back to safety.

We receive an oxygen enriched state of being, in partnership with the surround of trees.

When we gaze at the lush green of forest and earth and flora in wild landscapes, we relax in response to the deep green, with studies in the neuroscience of colour showing deeper relaxation in our nervous system and psyche - a luxury of enrichment of relaxation.

When we stand with the Horses, silently receiving their welcoming connection back to a state of physical resonance, and spiritual resonance, with Nature, we recall who we were before technology created spells that pull us away from a Presence in the Present Moment. We are enchanted and spelled and enriched instead, by the rhythms of Nature and the Heart of the Horse.

We remember that we don’t need, so much. Instead we are enriched by the simplicity of wild nature, rich oxygen, deep green, rhythms and bird songs and winds, and when with Horses, the deep wealth they bring of a Renewal of alignment with our True Selves.

Horses: Why We Are so Drawn ~

Horses mirror our inner landscape.

In the moment, and moment to moment, they walk with the inner wordless worlds of our deepest feelings, hopes and dreams, pains and release points, truths and mysteries - and they ask us, to reveal ourselves, to ourselves - to join nature in the interweaving dance of a silent honesty of being.

As they walk with us, sensing us completely, they walk with our inner landscape of energies that lie beneath every mask.

As they mirror our inner landscape, we are asked to become more embodied.

As they resonate in a safety expressed partly through various rhythms and unseen waves of energy (that science can measure), they pull us into greater coherence, if we respond.

As they welcome us to trust that we can handle what arises in the moments with them, we learn to trust - shame and isolation dissolve. We become part of, and embedded in a Majesty of Being.

We don’t need to ride them, or even be physically close to them, or even be located on the same place on the planet with them, to respond to their energy and presence.

There is a neuroscience to the reason we are Drawn to Horses.

There is a beautiful ever elusive wordless Mystery of why we are Drawn to Horses.

They call us back to a deep sense of our Inner Nature, our Inner Landscapes, and the truths of our Inner Being, so that we are Renewed.

Horses walk us back Home to Ourselves, and back Home to our beautiful and humble and responsible Place in Nature.

Horses bring us back to the Awareness of how Deeply, we Belong.
