I woke up with a tune in my head and a body that needed a quieter day.
Somewhere between the two, this song emerged.
The lyrics were inspired by David Hockney; his art, his way of seeing, and the many thoughtful words he left behind. I hadn’t realised just how much wisdom and joy he shared with the world.
This reel is just a small excerpt from a new song called I Prefer Living in Colour. 🎶🌈

But if you’re longing to remember yourself through song, community, nervous system repair, tears, laughter, harmony and truth…
welcome home.

We sing simple songs together- not to perform, not to entertain our children ( though they love and benefit from it too)but because;
Singing has the power to reduce stress, remind us we are not alone and build community.

Come and try a session and find out what it feels like.

Another song by the wonderous Penny Stone
Offering a dose of ease and reassurance.

These beautiful words belong to the 14th-century English mystic, Julian of Norwich, famously assuring us that: “All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.”They remind us that despite the chaotic, confusing, and sometimes painful nature of life, there is an enduring, loving force at the center of the universe holding us fast.

If you feel that you would like to come and sing songs like this one with a welcoming group of women (and some babies) join us .

This one is for the tired ones.
The lonely ones.
The grieving, angry, overwhelmed ones.
The ones carrying too much while pretending they’re okay.
The ones who feel underwater… unseen… undervalued.
I see you. 🤍
One day at a time. One breath at a time. One small step at a time.
Change is the only constant, and this song is your reminder that brighter days are ahead, even if you can’t see them yet.

The song “O-o-h Child” is by Five Stairsteps. It was released in 1970 and became one of their most well-known songs. The lyrics are all about hope and getting through difficult times, which is why it still resonates so deeply today

Looking to begin, or return to a regular yoga practice with fewer barriers?
Tune in from your own home or space and join me once or twice a week, depending on your availability.
This online class has been running since the pandemic days and has become a beautiful little sangha; holding people gently through all the seasons of life as they come and go.
A small side note that feels meaningful to share: my mum has been one of the steadfast members of this class (when she’s not off travelling, singing, or organizing community arts events!). It’s been such a gift to practice together, especially as she was the person who first introduced me to yoga many years ago.
These classes are welcoming, grounding, and accessible; a space to breathe, move, reconnect, and arrive as you are. 🤍✨🐝⛈️⛅️🌕🌊
If you’d like to join, send me a message for the Zoom link and details.
Classes are $10 drop-in or $100 for 15 sessions.

May 6th is Maternal Mental Health Awareness day 💛🕯️

Tonight I’m holding space for the mothers carrying more than anyone can see.
The lyrics “Hold on, hold on my dear one, hold on here comes the dawn” by Heidi Wilson felt especially close to my heart today.

In BC, maternal mental health struggles affect approximately 1 in 4 mothers and families, yet so many continue to suffer in silence without the support they deserve. We need more services, more awareness, more compassion, and more accessible postpartum care for mothers who are trying to hold everything together while quietly struggling inside.

Music and has been one of the ways I move through hard moments ; singing, breathing, feeling, releasing.

Sometimes it looks like lighting a candle and choosing to hold on for one more day.

If you are struggling, please know you are not alone. 💛

And if you are able to make your way to one of my singing mamas groups, you will be welcomed with open arms, without judgment, and with understanding.

I also want to acknowledge the incredible work being done by Pacific Post Partum Support Society, who provide free and low-cost phone, text, online, and in-person support groups for new parents across BC.
Learn more or reach out for support.
And a huge thank you to .her.circle for the fundraising and advocacy work they are doing to help create greater access to postpartum support for mothers who need it most.

Hold on, dear one. Dawn is coming. 🕯️✨

Coming Home Club ✨
I took this photo in New West in front of a mural that says “you are home,” and it felt like the perfect reflection of why I chose this handle name to encapsulate the offerings I facilitate.
Whether through song, music, yoga, meditation, or the spaces we create together, everything I offer is really an invitation to return home to yourself.
To soften the constant seeking outside of yourself.
To unravel the layers, the holding, the hurry, the conditioning.
To remember that home isn’t somewhere you have to earn or arrive at someday.
It already exists within you.
And maybe healing, connection, and expression are simply the pathways that help us remember who we’ve always been underneath it all.
Welcome home 🤍
