Trying to verbalise and reason from a place of our own nervous system being in survival mode, is about as effective as shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted!
It is pointless.
During the first 4 weeks of the programme, we go through a few techniques and ways to notice our own nervous systems and how to regulate.
From a place of regulation, is where we can feel the shifts in atmosphere and energy and see the changes happening before our very eyes.
I will chat more about it during the upcoming workshop Wednesday 17/06/26 at 7pm and Thursday 18/06/26 at 12pm GMT (London) time- same link for both which will say Wednesday as to avoid too many links and tech, I will be using the same one. 👆 in bio
Tech is not my forte, but I am willing to learn, adapt, and embrace to reach, share and inform.
My strengths are understanding the body, the nervous system, regulation, the gut-brain connection and how this affects our mood, sleep, digestion AND the mind-body connection- ‘how we feel’ can impact our posture and ability to move.

When L first started working with me, home life felt exhausting.

Every conversation felt loaded. Mood swings dictated the atmosphere in the house. Everyone was bracing for the next shutdown, explosion, or tension-filled silence.

Like many parents, L thought she needed better strategies, firmer boundaries, or the “right thing” to say. But underneath it all was a nervous system stuck in survival mode.

So we shifted the focus. Instead of trying to manage behaviour… We worked on regulation first.

We slowed reactions down. Observed patterns. Reduced panic. Created predictability and emotional safety. And within the first few weeks, things began to change.

Not overnight perfection. But palpable shifts.

✔ Escalations diffused sooner
✔ Home felt calmer
✔ Recovery after difficult moments became quicker
✔ Connection slowly returned
✔ Confidence started rebuilding — for both parent and teen

One of the biggest breakthroughs? L stopped feeling like she was constantly “getting it wrong.” Because once you understand the nervous system, behaviour stops feeling random.

This is not about becoming a perfect parent. It is about becoming a regulated anchor your teen can feel safe around again. And that changes everything.

Had the most amazing morning at and with Alison - seeing tiny little goslings too. We did standing yoga, walking meditation, nature, wild swimming and sauna, hot drinks too - such a wonderful start to Fri YAY 🙌

It’s important to look after ourselves - listening to our head, heart💓 and gut is fundamental and essential so we can be the bestbthat we can be for ourselves and our family.
I have been fortunate enough to listen to the brilliant coach Mosley about the 80:20 give 80% is plenty. We need to keep some in reserve for ourself.
Now I am off for a week to recharge to a full 100%, and give me 100%. Because as I say to my girls - you have to LOVE yourself the most so you can love others ♥️➡️🙏
