Before you panic, here’s what you need to know about lice ✨

Follow these simple steps:

1️⃣ Stay calm — lice are common and treatable
2️⃣ Check properly — use a fine-tooth lice comb on wet, conditioned hair
3️⃣ Look closely — focus behind the ears and at the nape of the neck
4️⃣ Confirm it’s lice — identify live lice or tiny oval “nits” stuck to the hair shaft
5️⃣ Treat correctly — use a proven lice treatment or removal method
6️⃣ Repeat combing — every 2–3 days for at least 1–2 weeks
7️⃣ Clean smart — wash pillowcases, hats, and brushes (no need for extreme cleaning)

💡 Reminder: Lice spread through head-to-head contact—not dirty hair.

Save this for when you need it, and share it with another parent 💛

💛 Check everyone close
💛 Clean what matters most

And if it feels like too much to handle alone getting professional help can make the process faster, easier, and more thorough.

You don’t have to panic. You just need a plan. 💛

Summer camp reality check

You can tell them not to share things…
but kids will be kids braiding hair, swapping hats, sharing everything like it’s no big deal.

So instead of stressing about everything, I stick to just 3 simple rules before camp:

💛 No sharing hair brushes or combs
💛 No sharing hats or helmets
💛 No sharing headphones or anything that touches the scalp

That’s it. Simple, realistic, doable.

Because we can’t stop them from playing…
but we can teach small habits that help prevent a whole lice situation later. 😅

Mom life = not perfect, just prepared 💛

Why do we always use a NIT comb at Lice Mamas?
Because it’s the most accurate and effective way to detect lice and nits!

👀 Visual checks alone can miss tiny eggs that cling to the hair shaft.
💪 The fine, metal teeth of a NIT comb catch what the eyes can’t see.
💆‍♀️ It helps us identify even early-stage infestations — before they spread!

That’s why every head check we do includes a thorough comb-through.
It’s gentle, precise, and gives families peace of mind. 💛

If you’ve been struggling with fragile hair, scalp sensitivity, or hair loss during perimenopause, know that you’re not alone...

Im already dealing with perimenopausal hair loss, extra shedding in the shower, a sensitive scalp, and hair that feels thinner and more fragile than it used to… so the thought of sitting through hours of combing honestly makes your stomach turn.

I kept worrying about the pulling, the breakage, the tangles, and seeing even more hair come out. My scalp already felt stressed enough.

But then I remembered we had another option.

Instead of the traditional comb-out process, I chose the heated air treatment and the difference was emotional for me..

Our heated air treatment has been such a game changer for me and my family because:

• No aggressive combing or pulling through fragile hair
• Helps make the process feel calmer and less stressful
• Gentle on sensitive scalps and thinning areas
• Less tension on strands that already feel weak or dry
• A more comfortable experience for kids and adults alike
• Feels warm and soothing almost like a scalp treatment
• Helps turn hair care from overwhelming to manageable

Sometimes, the gentlest approach can make the biggest difference. 💛

If you’re curious about whether heated air treatment may be a better fit for your hair and scalp needs, send us a message ,we’re always happy to help.
