At LDANL, we help people focus on digital literacy to avoid scams online, but scam calls are just as much a problem.

Stay aware & stay safe with your confidential info, whether personal or financial!

is warning of a phone scam involving Motor Registration.

The caller claims to be from Motor Registration, stating a payment was made on the wrong vehicle and requesting credit card information to issue a refund.

Motor Registration will never ask a client for their credit card number to issue a refund. If you receive such a call, hang up immediately and do not provide any personal information.

To report a scam to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, contact your local detachment, or call 1-800-709-7267. To report a scam to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, please call 709-729-8000, or use the online reporting system.

As part of the Tuckamore Music Festival, this year's adaptive concert with Trio Bessette-Djokic-Dominguez will take place on Thursday June 25th 2026 at 11:00am in Suncor Energy Hall at MUN's School of Music.

This concert is free of charge, sensory friendly, and open to all ages!

The venue is wheelchair accessible and the concert will run from 11:00am-12:00pm, which includes incorporated stretch breaks.

LDANL is excited to announce that we are planning our first READ Learners Community Day for both READ learners and their parents/guardians! This event is meant to celebrate all the hard work and progress our READ learners have made this past year, and give parents/guardians the opportunity to meet with the LDANL team to learn more about upcoming opportunities.

The event will be on June 25, 2026 at 6:30 - 7:30 PM, in-person at The Lantern (35 Barnes Rd, St. John's, NL A1C 2E8).

Free snacks and drinks will be provided during the event.
